Thank you for the CCC and Sonar updates!

I just happen to run CCC and it said there was an update. When it installed, it showed a few new updates to the Sonar program.

Thank you!

I also like the bit where it lets you access older versions.  I know this was addressed on another thread...but actually seeing it work is real snazzy.

How this DL work?
I saw CCC looking to update itself yet when I say yes it seems to hang.
I closed and started again this time I said no to CCC update then I saw
the things that was not updated in Foxboro DP being one of the updates very scary
past update for DP has been a very long update for me.
Again do we update Sonar first then CCC?

Yes, this addresses the bounce issue, a DSD issue and one other (I think). We should have a formal fix list/kb article from the SONAR team published shortly.

Fix list is here.
There are also tons of enhancements as well as bug fixes in the new C3. Most of the user requests have been implemented.

I recommend people go straight away into settings before they do anything and check their file paths.
In my case the 64 bit VST plugins folder got changed to the wrong folder. Easily corrected.

Guess this is the first bug... It's trivial if you manage to correct it before it does anything. I suspect though many people might forget I hope there won't be too many complaints..

So Doktor, is this only a bug for those who have changed the default VST install paths ?
Mine seems to be the same.

This is what changed in the path:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins

It used to be "VstPlugins". The "p" got changed to a lowercase. It was uppercase previously.

Interesting although this case the issue is just presentation. Case sensitivity ultimately does not matter.

Re: Thank you for the CCC and Sonar updates! 2015/07/09 23:14:26 (permalink)
Seems to do a complete reset of things. All my hidden stuff, re-appeared. But before where hiding would take forever, due to searching for updates, now it just takes seconds. After hiding, it did take me bak to the main folders, so I had to reopen the folder again, but it's nothing, and took less than a minute to get things back to how I liked.

Being that it wasn't trying to update, I took a look to see where this was now triggered and saw it in the setting cog icon. There also was a list of 16 things I'd hidden with a check box.

I like how this has been done, makes hiding and keeping things clear much more intuitive.
The more things hidden, the less checked for updates, the faster the checking.

My CCC update also looked to be hanging, and stayed on 0% for a few mins, then when I looked at the screen next, it was dione and updated.

Hi Gang...

I've been reading of the c3 and Foxboro updates, but I can't find a link to c3 update. I'm sure I can get the Foxboro update in my account, but c3 never has appeared there...

I read from a few posts that it will update when running c3, but due to my limited web access, I need to diwnliad manually outside of c3 on a different machine. I then transfer the files to c3 on my DAW and let c3 do the install...

Any chance someone can post the link?

Thanks...

I'm loving the new membership/updates model too!

...and getting better as we go.

The new c3 update is much faster at recovery after each install...

I use default paths so I'm unaffected that way... And due to my web restraints, I don't use the update/install all... Which reminds me...

What is the difference between update/install? I'm thinking its diwnliad only or download and install or such but I'm a bit uncertain... When I clicked install, it downloaded first...?

Thanks...

install installs it all(altho it typically says reinstall if it already has been installed), update just updates what you already have, altho in the case of DPro it ain't a whole lot different in size, at least recently.
