Wow, Randy. I'm glad she's ok, and beginning her recovery. I'll be praying for a smooth and speedy recovery. It's great that they caught the driver. Some people need to be taken off the road. You and your wife must have been worried sick. I hope all of you are able to relax now.

Oh, my, Randy, what a horrible thing to have to go thru for all of you! I'm so glad she'll be OK! It could have been much worse! Was the guy drunk? is that why he ran and didn't stop? My prayers for your daughter and for you and her mother. I pray for a speedy recovery!

Reece, Thanks for you thoughts and prayers. We'll probably never know if the guy was drunk or not. He wasn't found for over 24 hours afterwards. I've been in touch with my attorney, and he will take it from here. He's known my daughter since she was a little girl, and he's good and pissed off this morning. We are on our way to the hospital right now to meet with the doctors. Things sound pretty good so far. Thanks to everyone, and I'll check in later with an update. Glad you are back Reece. Your presence is a balancing one around here. Randy

Terrible thing, but sounds like she's OK. Sometimes really bad luck and really good luck come together. Wishing you all nothing but good luck from here on out.

Randy it's good that they've found the driver, hopefully they will make him pay fully for any long-term care she made need plus a good amount of compensation on top. IOW a baby girl is as precious a gift anyone can have and I hope the courts value that accordingly. She should not bear any more suffering than she already has because of this, it sounds to me you have the right person on the case. Anyway we're all still willing her back into good cheer from this side of the pond. My mother-out-law's prayer group have taken the news and run with it so they will be sending good signals up too. So all the best from us to her and yourselves, don't forget to look after yourselves too. You are more help to her in good shape than you are all burned out.

I have two young adult step children, but they have been my kids longer than they ever were their non existent fathers, and I dread the late night phone call. I can only imagine how you felt as we've never had one that serious - we have had the accident call, but never with injuries. I glad they apprehended the driver - I'll never understand how anyone can perform a hit and run, just leaving when they know they have hurt someone and carelessly driving away. My wife and I will keep you and your daughter in our thoughts with hopes of a speedy recovery.

Tell her Dr Jon said she's to make as many ridiculous demands as she can think of to help her feel better. The more demands she makes the quicker the recovery time I reckon.

Pony. I'm betting she never got one when she was younger. Now's the time. Ask for a pony now. Pouting is okay. Whining should be done only if absolutely necessary. Ask for the pony. It's for "Therapy".
