The Book

Ok.  I already apologized in the past for future deeds that are now in the present.  (I'm not really sorry)

I finished it.  Some have asked when I would finally publish a book.  I'm not sure if they were asking out of anticipation or out of dread.  For those who wanted to know, my first novel, Reality Challenged, is now available on the Smashwords site.  Once it passes a manual format review in the next 2-3 weeks, it will be sent to Apple's iBook, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Sony and other eBook stores.  I've gone on record as saying that this is Book 1 of The Other Universes series, so I'll have to write more.

You only have yourselves to blame.  You asked me to finish it.  (I told you I'm not sorry...)

I did not want to Spam you with a blatant sales pitch, but I wanted to answer those of you who have said you were interested in it.  If you're interested in taking a look, here's a link to the book's site.  https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/262469

I have a coupon code which I'm only sharing with the folks here on the Cakewalk forums for 25% off from now through December 25, 2012.  The coupon code is LU65U.

In all seriousness, I wanted to thank my friends in the CoffeeHouse for your encouragement to finish the book.  There were many times when I didn't think I would ever get this done.  I appreciate your support very much.  Thank you.

DANG.... I just broke my Kindle screen this week. I will go buy a new one today.

This is really something Bubba. Writing a book is quite an accomplishment, in my book. You have officially left a mark on the world now!

That's a fine achievement Bubba ,congratulations!. I only know one other person who's written and published a book, I knew it would be terrible, and it was. Yours, however will be splendid, in this I have every confidence.

Huge congrats to you Bubba. Is there any chance of this being published in non ebook format? I'd be interested in a signed copy. I can find somebody to sign it, I just need the hard copy. Randy

    Thanks, everyone!

Jbow, I've left marks on the world before, but they were scrubbed off or vanished when the snow melted.

James, Mine may be splendidly terrible.  That's the risk you take with self-published books.

Randy, I'm transcribing it on post-it notes as fast as I can.  It may take a while.

Starise, I hope you like it.

Mike, You're welcome!  I published on Smashwords because they make it easy to list the books in the major eBook stores and their fees are reasonable.  (Publishing didn't cost me anything.)  If they don't work for you, the book should be available in other stores within a few weeks.

Well at least that's what I'm hoping for from a Bubba read.

I shall prepare to be bemused amused...

It might look less creepy if you removed it from her face first and put it on your own.

    Respect the foot.

I hope you enjoy it, Craig.

CHCollabs, it's like a song with music you can see.  It's also good for propping up wobbly legs or whacking spiders.  If it's an eBook, it's good for whacking virtual spiders.

Starise, I intentionally tried not to impugn the integrity of specific individuals, whether physical or virtual.  I also didn't want to risk someday running into someone who felt they had been characterized unfairly.  That being said, you may notice certain traits or characteristics that might be shared by some folks you know.

Tom, I hope you enjoy it when it you get a chance.

I probably should have mentioned this before, but there is a band mentioned in the story.  It's not a large role, but it didn't seem complete without a rock band that jumps between universes.  Before you ask, the band members are compilations of characters I've known rather than specific individuals.  An Am plays a part in their story.
