You guys crack me up.

What's with the hats?

LMAO!

I was gonna say you missed a cliche, but no the bus is right there behind me...

Nice work Mike.

I think one person is not going to like those hats ... that fur is too much competition ...

Okay, well I may have to edit my post again. But by you talking about "fur", I'm thinking this thread has "gone south", if you know what I mean.

Still not sure.

so are you 3 just sitting at a coffee shop in London with your laptops all posting on the CH sitting next to each other?  you guys travelled all that way just to sit together when you posted?????

That's modern culture for you, I had to take my niece to a party and keep and eye on her last year. All my worries about her going off and having sex with someone went away quick when they all whipped their cell phones out and began their ritual...turn their backs on everyone and call or text people not at the party. Things have sure changed.

Oh Grant, that is SO true.  This is a statement about new societal norms if ever I saw one.  Not to take away from the 3 lads and their escapades, but this could have its own thread.

So how's the food Bapu?

The only 'traditional' food I've had so far is Fish And Chips. I've had three servings in three different pubs. None of the three were the same. Go figure.

I've had two different burgers. My Lovely Lady has had three. My second (her third) was from a place called Byron, their tagline is 'Proper Hamburgers'. About as close to an American burger as you can get.

A 'Traditional Breakfast' is included at the hotel. The sausages are good. The bacon is OK. The fried eggs (what we would call over easy in the US) were good. I'm not a baked beans kind of guy but I would never consider that a breakfast food, but they do here (at least in the hotel?).

I've had lasagna twice, one spaghetti and one shrimp dinner (not at the same time Mooch). No complaints other than price, but.... I'm in London and I expected food to be more expensive than my local eateries back home. The price you pay fro being a tourist.

The bacon is OK.

Methinks you need to use a good slice of raw tongue to tip off the chef that your becan needs crisping up some more before it is fit for Bapsuardo.

what?  no curry?

thats in Rusholme,  machester (the curry mile) 3 hours away on the train.

but Ed's probably had "tourist" chips hehe (but they didn't even ask a born / bred Londoner where to get pie / mash / eel..hehe)... anywhere that needs to reinforce the fact they are "Proper" is a crock.. lots of pubs just fry up frozen chips that you'd get in a supermarket for convenience..

the best place probably in London , or one of them used to be a place in golders green I went there once.. it's not cheap (compared to others) but the food was lush.

I always thought 'the curry mile' was the exclusion zone around Strummy's rear quarter after he has partaken a good helping of the Indian dish.
