Zungle, I've actually shared it a few times before. Maybe you were "ignoring" me then . Yeah, I'm a proud papa. I taught him E, A and D chords at 10 years old and then put him in guitar lessons. He played trombone in Jr. High for two years. Switched to Tuba for one year and played it in the Orchestra and Marching band all through High School (and he was paid to do all copyist work for the Orchestra and Marching Band in his last two years of high school). He also played guitar in the Jazz Band and Marimbas in the drum line in high school. On top of that he plays violin, drums, bass and bandoneon (main instrument in Tango music). Yeah, I'm a proud papa.

Sometimes I'm a thread skimmer and sometimes I'm just trying to keep my own mouth shut for my own good. None the less.................I am still glad you put something cool up in this thread. I didn't go thru the whole site yet.............can I ask if they are still at it? and how is his music going now? I book marked the site for my son to check out..................he loves Metal and Acoustic Music........... I bought him a decent little Epi Dot Studio back in 2006 and he doesn't touch it................but I have a couple old acoustics layin around and he started playing those all of time.............go figure?

Hey, Zungle, Very cool thread! How about some high-test Maxwell House with some Red Bull along with some Red Lamb. http://www.redlambofficial.com/music/ Be sure to scroll down and check out "One Shell" and "Standbye Passenger". Produced by Dave Mustaine, it's a pretty good eye opener. Have a good one! Bob

This morning - Nescafè Gold instand "coffee" and Fear Factory ProjectM, This particular video and song are a great example of beauty, art and musicianship. For me or you and likely most posting in this thread they see and hear it all to clearly..............it may not be their cup of tea but they know whats going on. Yet to some they are blind to it or confused, many dismiss it with the standard terms like ........... No soul,No melody , to much distortion with power chords, lack of vocal range etc................. They don't hear the tight alternate picking, the economy picking, the expansive use of modes , the string skipping, arpeggios. The down tuning's and alternate tuning's The tight kick with the bass. The overall dexterity on the instruments and vocals.................. You know how hard it is to sing that powerful for one song let alone an entire set? Rant over................. I loved it.

Your thread got me interested in finding more about metal, and I found this doc on YouTube; Such Hawks, Such Hounds It traces the development of underground hard rock in the US from the late '60's onwards, interesting stuff.

Here's a real curio from 1975 for the UK contingent; Heavy Metal Kids - Crises The late Gary Holton ('Wayne' from 'Auf Weidersehen Pet') on vocals. Bit of trivia - Holton was offered, and refused, the vocalist gig for AC/DC when Bon Scott died.
