DjiDoe Cakewalk replied me about the bug I've mentionned on post #42 of this thread. They are not able to reproduce the bug. Yet I can reproduce the bug on 3 different machines, on VISTA 32 and XP 32, using SONAR 8.5.1 Please refer to post #42 of this thread and please confirm the bug. Thanx DjiDoe Could you post the steps you gave them to repro it? I'll give it another try.

Hi Jose, I just copied the post #42 of this thread and paste it to the bug report form. Cakewalk replied this morning : Thank-you for submitting your problem report, you are receiving this message because the status of your report has been changed to SUBMITTED TO DEVELOPMENT. With the following notes: Thanks for the additional information. This is abnormal behavior and has been logged. But, there is a work around for the time being. At the point where you have 4 pieces in a track, and before you move them. Right Click on each clip and select bounce to clips. That will allow you to then move the clips without them changing. Thanks. Thanx DjiDoe

PLEASE HELP! Please help! I haven't read the whole POST:es! What a mess The computer LOCKED itself when launching SONAR for the first time???? Needed to use the reset button on the computer! Now I missing 80 % of all Icons? I have tried to reinstall and shift+start SONAR 8.5.1 instead to rescan? Still missing 80 % of all Icons? There NAMES are there but can't Load them? When I took all default standard icons away from "Icons-Folder" "blank, midi, map and so on...then new icons pop up? Nice one... Audio-track looks like "Modern bluish with Digital-waveform-look" "Midi-icon" new look too looks very nice too, like LOGIC icons.... =) Is this as it should be? The problem is that I can't locate them on the hard-disk either? Is it anyway to move and drag from the original 8.5.1 install location on the disk? PLEASE HELP! Regards Freddie

? Non existens help...me out? I fixed it myself anyway. =) Have you all notice that the "bus text" and "values" are much more blurry in SONAR 8.5.1 then SONAR 8.3.1 in example console view? Its like they add shadow to the text or something, or change typo?

Other bugs...The Values and all Bus-Text in console-view are all blurry in SONAR 8.5.1 compair to 8.3.1. And not just console all values and text of tracks and so on... All menus are fine inside SONAR 8.5.1! Please, this is seriously Bug/Problem, becuse you can't work... you get headache.

I don't think I really need to say this... you all know this by now... System: I'm using VISTA 64bit Ultimate, SONAR 8.5.1, only the 64bit version.. BUG: Audio Snap2... Audio files in 64bit-format get locked in position after using Audio Snap2. After activate AUDIO SNAP 2 with 64bit Audiofiles you can't move or copy the audiofile..You can only select it... You need to save and close the project and open it again to be able to move or copy the audio-file...

scottfa I don't see Toontrack as being part of the problem. The company never said anything about supporting 64 bit. But Cakewalk has 32 bit to 64 bit plastered everywhere! So CW has to take some heat. I mean how popular does a 32 bit plug in have to be to be tested? Especially a drum sampler! It is a prime candidate for more RAM!! Actually, it would be refreshing for a company to just write " Yes, we should have tested it. We screwed up.We will test ASAP, and sorry for the delay." Precisely my point. Don`t advertise 32 to 64 bit support and then start qualifying it when non-working combinations are discovered - especially ones as crucial as this. All I can say at this stage is I sure hope Cake and TT are working their collective ass off on this one. So far all I have from 8.5 is a system that will only run what I have in 32 bit mode. Not impressed - reminds me why I held off on getting 7 Producer & why I only got Studio this time around. I must have known something.

Yes, found out that's happen only with Audio files that have been used earlier with Audio snap 1, or that has already has the Tempo-file setting included... It happens regardless what bit size.. 64bit 24bit 32bit and so on.... but only with those files... whith new Audio files..never used before---> it work as normal... NO BUG! PLease fix Cakewalk!

COLOR-BUG! inserted Plugin in "COLOR" ---> Console View ----> "Console FX bin Text" 1. I have it set to green.. works fine...but blurry...? 2. Change the color in Console-view: "Console FX bin Text" to example: RED-color 3. Restart SONAR to effect the color. 4. Open project... the Plugin name "Console FX bin Text" = Red... in project 5. Double click on the inserted plugin... it turns Green again and stay green... as was my deafult color too in 8.3.1? Please FIX this too!

It worked in SONAR 8.3.1 32bit version but not in the 64bit version of SONAR? Doesn't work in the 64bit version of 8.5.1 either? It does work reversing audio-file with any else bit rate like 16,24,32, files though.

I was using this plugin too the other day and noticed that sometimes there's no sound coming out of it. However, I wasn't sure if I was using it correctly, so I didn't use it anymore. How is this thing supposed to work and does it work with regular audio files (or just softsynth)? Can anyone here confirm that this plugin is working correctly or not?

The problem is that they and other 3part Manufacturers, don't get there s-hit together in TIME!!! Native 64bit support should been addressed years ago... I don't know WHY everyone has drag there ass behind all this all years? Are they drinking coffee..or what? Problem is Microsoft too... They should never released any 32bit version of VISTA nor Windows 7.. that was the original plan.. They should STOP support XP32 too after they released VISTA too but they didn't had the balls to it. Did you know that even WINDOWS 7 should never been released in 32bit at all? Windows 7 will be the last 32bit OS on the block... then this s-hit with 32bit will sure ends and die out! Thank God for that!

I'm banging my head against the wall with hardware MIDI controllers and Drum Maps. re: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=1828702 I'm hoping I'm missing some very simple oversight on my part, but having exahausted everything I know to do and having no response from someone willing to replicate my observation I'm left to wonder if it's me or a bug. Can someone take a look at drum maps and hardware. thanks, mike

I have reported over 4 or was it 5, Bugs? now to Cakewalk! I hope they check this FORUM instead...and this POST.. Much easy for us all! I mean...no one report anything here at this FORUM just for FUN, right! Regards Freddie http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/ProblemReporter/
