I think I may puke. Yeah, proper rock and roll, see how far you can project it... I bet I can get a whole partially digested box of Coco Pops to traverse 18 feet without passing out... Hold my jacket.

guitarmikeh I can agree with a lot of what being said but... This talk of violence is just stupid. Yes, stand up for justice, but the second you talk violence you've lost me. And to say you'd travel miles to dish out your violence is insane. There is no law that says you have to be treated with respect. However there are laws regarding violence and the threat of using it. What about someone being able to admit they were wrong? I don't see any talk about that. seems like not many can do it. Did ya ever hear the anecdote "don't mess with and old man, he'll just shoot ya. He's too old to fight and too young to die."? Whatever That's fine if that's how you feel. I see nothing wrong with someone saying "look, if you have a problem with me let's solve it. If it comes to something violent, so be it if it helps resolve the problem." Is that what I want? Absolutely not. But if it helps? I'm there. You don't keep teasing a dog or smacking it about do you? Right, you wouldn't because you know that eventually, what will happen? Right, you get bit. Why should I be any different? I warn people ahead of time. Is that a crime that I do not wish to be played with and voiced how strongly I feel about it? I don't want to sit here and fight back and forth with cowardly words. I don't want to fight at all. Is there something you missed? If you choose to be someone that gets walked on in life, that is your choice. I choose to live my life without taking crap from people. Sorry if that offends you or anyone else. As for admitting wrong, I have no problems saying I was wrong about something nor do I have a problem saying I'm sorry. However, you won't see me push an issue that I know nothing about that I could be wrong on. It would not only be senseless, it would be like the people we see on the forums everyday talking about things forcefully that they know nothing about. Don't want to respect me because there is no law? That's fine...I *asked* for respect, I did not demand it nor mention there was or wasn't a law. There is no law that says you need to file income tax either. Yet you can go to prison for a long time because "it is your duty". I think it's safe to say "it is your duty" to show respect. But that's fine, disrespect me/others as you wish. I'll disrespect you back and we're even if it comes to that. At the end of the day, if you do not like or accept what *I* consider to be human terms of communication, no one is twisting your arm to do so. You can just ignore me if the person I am is not to your liking. I'd actually rather those that don't like me to do that so we never have a problem with each other. I do not believe in violence, but I will always stand up for what I believe in no matter what the cause or the circumstances. Call it stupid, call it childish, call it aggressive, this is how I choose to live my life and it's worked for 45 years. To avoid the problem or avoid someone like me acting violent, you just don't bother me and we never have a problem. Wanna talk smack to someone, please don't let it be me. I've done nothing but try my best to be a human being and help people on here while being as honest as possible. If more people acted towards idiots in this world instead of letting them get away with stuff, the idiots might think twice about starting a ruckus. The person that sits with the word "doormat" on their forehead will never be me no matter what the cost. I don't understand how anyone could take that any way but how it was intended. If you choose to read into it another way, that is totally on you. There always has to be someone that needs to analyze things to the extreme. You couldn't just read my post and accept it for what it was, could you? If someone got under my skin enough to where we took it off the forum and agreed to meet somewhere, yes I'd travel. So what? I don't fear people, "guns" or "the old man"....if it's my time, so be it. My point in full is...I don't want to be bothered or involved in ANY confrontation. Did you miss that part of my post? Is it so wrong for me to speak my mind about what *I* believe in? I just shared a view. It doesn't bother me if you and others agree or disagree with it. I only shared MY belief and how I would like to be treated as well as how I deal with things, that's all. Thank you Jonbuoy...that's exactly what my post was meant to convey. I can't spell it out any better than to say: I pray that I and everyone else on this forum never gets into another argument or confrontation again. I do not want to be violent or fight with anyone. However....people know the other side of the coin with me. Let's just not ever go there please. -Danny

spacey Now I'm not wanting to debate what any may think about how Danny spoke but I'll say without doubt that for him to need a proclamation or rules of engagement to communicate there is something very sad about that. It is common knowledge that most every single person that posts on this forum is not a child. Well maybe I'm wrong. It exists and has support from other members. Being an active member and striving to participate with wisdom, comedy, ideas or spacey suggestions I have to hold true to form and suggest, with good intentions, the following addition or revision to Dannys' proclamation or rules of engagement. Rev. 1. ( as far as I know) and all you little darlings remember to floss and brush your teeth after every meal. Rev. 2. Do not type "ass". Type "arse". Rev. 3. "Fred" means thread. Rev. 4. "Becan" ....nobody knows really. I could continue and time is not an excuse because Danny could probably type three pages in the time it took me to type this.....I guess it's just my first contribution in the name of teen spirit and it's been so many, many years....I think I may puke. It is sad spacey...truly it is. But only because some people like me, really take this stuff serious as it is a major part of my social life since I work so much and this is all I have. Pathetic is probably more like it. Trust me brother...if I could meet the whole forum or invite everyone here to DanziLand to hang out for a weekend of food, booze and hugs, I'd do it. I sincerely hope I never get in another argument here or in life ever again. You have no idea man. But, we know how that goes. There is always someone that comes here more for entertainment than to learn and become a brother. And then there's that power struggle to be King Sonar Guru. They can have that...I just wanna help out from time to time. :) Too much pressure being "The King" of anything. -Danny

Hi, In the past year or two, I have learned a lot here, and seeing Bapu, and other jolly folks have fun, helps me keep things straight ... for the most part. There are topics that I am passionate about, and they are those inclined to using music on a more spiritual path, of which my collection is massive on, and the other, in having different blends and mixes in things ... thus hearing Bapu play the sitar ... you son of a gun ... only 15 seconds? How about a duet with Strummy? ... is all I can really think and say about it! Better yet ... a nice smooch'iness with Mooch and the cigar! ... sitar? Other than that, my humor tends to Moliere/English style and rather surrealistic, which sometimes is not funny, but then ... that's like saying that a lot of things here are ... !!! All in all, I have a lot of love and respect and care for all members here and it hurts when I see Beagle have to post what he did ... because I am not out to hurt anyone, but there are times when a point needs to be made ... and it doesn't matter who you are ... you should be able to make your point, regardless! As long as you don't hurt anyone or frighten the horses, or disturb the traffic in London!
As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

But you are a better man than I. I don't have the tolerance for ignorant dumb-ass people but I expect them to have it for me. It's very easy for anybody at anytime to slip. It's nice when people help pick you up rather than kick ya while your down. Of course we should all know that and one shouldn't need a proclamation but that's in an ideal world. The biggest problem is you go to the trouble of trying to keep things on the up an up by writing something that shouldn't ever be needed and there are those it was written for that are lacking in reading comprehension skills and don't get it. We agree...very sad indeed. ...so did ya like the floss revision?LOL.

See how your patience holds up when you get more involved and the bashing starts. It's not as easy to handle as you think. spacey: yeah bro, I would love to hang too! Man, a Sonar meetup...that would rock! Nah, I don't know that I'm the better man. I'm just a very passionate soul that truly wants to live in harmony with others that also doesn't like my boat rocked. That's all really. I thought I knew what this thread was about, but finally realised I have no idea. Is there a programme? Who is snarking? And with whom are they snarking? And exactly why? I guess I may never know, but I wish it would stop. You've made Danny get all profound, and while I really like Danny and his profound observations (usually regarding music), I can't help but think it's draining precious creative energy he could be using in the studio. There's a chill pill running around in another thread, I'll see if they can drop it in here.

ampfixer I thought I knew what this thread was about, but finally realised I have no idea. Never mind all that. What's important is how far you can projectile vomit here. Anarchy in the CH! It's the future. Chill pills are for hippies.

Jonbouy guitarmikeh That's not what Danny said. My relationship with Danny is enough to know, that is the intent behind his words. Danny has a history of threatening people with violence on this forum and there is absolutely no excuse for it no matter what your 'creed' states. Saying you take the internet seriously is not a free pass/get of jail free card, it's a cover up by someone who is in denial of their anger control issues. To see guitarmikeh put on the defense because he said he didn't agree with the violent tone of the post is really f'ed up.

I don't have an argument with your view Bub, nor did I put GuitarMikeH on the defence. Just speaking of my experience with Danny is all. I can see your experience is clearly different which as far as I'm concerned is a matter between you and him. And to be clear I don't like threats of violence made over the internet nor anywhere else either, let alone condone them. But I'm a human being and if the transgression warrants it I will reserve the right to protect myself and my family and do what is required to put things right, having said that I haven't had a fight with anyone since I quit drinking 20 odd years ago. It ain't my style. Related to the subject also but certainly not concerning your good self, is the idea that people come along reeking of self-righteousness expect to impose a level of conduct upon a community that they themselves fall far short of. For example those that resurrect a lively thread after it has run it's natural course, all the steam has been blown off and it has clearly died down, seem to want to inject it a few days later with a bit of added emotion usually containing something on how the people involved should have handled themselves better, only for it all to kick off again. You've seen that kind of stuff happen I'm sure. It's kinda like some folk vicariously like a bit of drama but would hate to be seen as being a part of it. It seems a bit less than an upfront way of going about to me but equally destructive. btw If Danny ever threatened me with violence I'd smack him in the mouth... He'd have to pay the air-fare to come and collect though, and buy the drinks afterward... I could probably find the space to put him up for the night however.
