stevec I'd call it a success. No surprise of course. Sounds great as always, and it was really interesting to hear just how well Lynn's guitar blended in the arrangement... so well done. Oh, and steel drums that fit in without standing out? Nice.
Thanks Steve. Really appreciate it

You guys should work together more often. The lyrics are great! I really like the way you change it up at 2:40. Great guitar tone at 3:50 and the ending is sweet. Jqs

This kind of has a Weird, I mean, feeling to the vibe on the sound. Some might call it a love sound, but it is however WEIRD! How should I take hearing this? Are you WEIRD!? And if so, in what way? And no I am not saying Gay! It is however rather weird. While listening to this, should I hit the PANIC mode button on how to perceive the sound? Nah, I don't think so, although I do however think this is a classically influenced great work of art with sound. I hate it when people say : "I like your work!". It's obvious Daryl, this is your passion when it comes to making music. No doubt this is a Beatles influenced style, and please don't take that as a bad compliment because I SURE WISH SOMEONE WOULD SAY THAT ABOUT ME AND MY SONGS! I enjoyed hearing this one very much. Your vocals carry the melody in a special way that nobody else could, I don't know if you know this or what I am talking about. Okay, there ya go, this is my review of your song, I think it sounds great!!!!!! Bobby

Wayfarer The drums and bass were recorded quite well indeed. And the lyrics were well thought out (although the title might be a little simplistic given that the song itself is not.) But everything was very well written and recorded in my opinion. One caveat, the vocals sound like they might have some auto-correct on them. Maybe you did it because you like the effect. I don't really care for it though. I can tell you would sound good without it. I would leave it off. Bill
Thanks a lot for your kind words Bill. There are liberal amounts of Melodyne used in the making of this song (I meant to post a warning for someone on this forum) - not for the 'effect' as such but because I sound like a strangled chimp without it :)

Don't sell yourself short. I have a terrible tonality to my voice, so I don't sing lead, but I can sing a reasonably good harmony these days. I used to be way off key all the time, but it was due to my singing soft and timid. Once I learned to let it fly from the diaphragm, I found I could stay on key pretty well. That might work for you too.

Great Squeeze vibe with a bit of George Harrison/Jeff Lynne sauce thrown in, but it's got a thing all its own too. This is really great stuff, like it a lot.

A great pop song! Fantastic vocals and harmonies and I love the chord changes and breaks. The lyrics are great too. This reminds me of 10CC with the quality of vocals and the overall production. Great work!

Another cool tune. No mistaking the Staypress sound. The guitar sounds great and is balanced well. All well done. The second chord in the chorus struck me. E then to what I think is a F#7. Well, what ever it is, I like that movement of the inversion you used a lot. Smooth...
