This Weird Love - a new original colab with Lynn

Hi Folks
Here's a song that the very talented Lynn from these very forums and I wrote and recorded.
Nits and crits welcome.

https://soundcloud.com/skyblueproductions/this-weird-love-with-lynn-wilson

This Weird Love
Written and recorded by Lynn Wilson and Staypress
V1
You used to be my fantasy, every inch I planned to see
You were part of all my dreams, I was not in yours it seems
Now I feel I must apologize, it appears I shouldn't fantasize
About a girl who's not so into me and thinks I'm creepy
Ch
The weird love that this is blows my mind nearly every day
I'm not sure if you're my Mrs or if you only want to play
You're loving me behind closed doors, you fit me like a foot in a glove
But I'm sorry I can't stay away from this weird love
V2
So we started our 'relationship', it was like living on the Gaza Strip
I would pander to your every need, you teased me 'til you made me plead
Now I think you should explain to me, making love and then so mean to me
You tell your friends we're not so serious, you're delirious
Ch
Bridge
..and this weird love ain't sent from heaven above....
Yet this web of broken dreams ain't coming apart at the seams
Somehow we make it work even though you treat me like a jerk
I'm not sure what's expected of me to put up with this duplicity
This weird love is unique at best but it feels so good to get it off my chest
Chorus to end

Cool tune guys! I don't hear many tunes with steel drums in them now days, but it fits perfectly in this. Nice guitars throughout as well. It was interesting to hear how each of your styles blended in this!

Very cool tune, guys, and exceptionally well executed as well.  Drilling down to the finer points, you should know that things like the line "fit me like a foot in a glove," or rhyming relationship with Gaza strip don't go unnoticed for their uniqueness and cleverness.

I'd like to thank Daryl for enlisting me in this project!  As several of you noticed, his lyrics are the bomb.  I'm pleasantly surprised at how quickly this came together.  A month ago, this was all in our heads, waiting to happen.  I wish all of you celebrating the fourth (or not) a safe and happy holiday.  And Daryl, I hope you have a safe journey back to the U.K.

    All the best,

The drums and bass were recorded quite well indeed. And the lyrics were well thought out (although the title might be a little simplistic given that the song itself is not.) But everything was very well written and recorded in my opinion.

One caveat, the vocals sound like they might have some auto-correct on them. Maybe you did it because you like the effect. I don't really care for it though. I can tell you would sound good without it. I would leave it off.
