Is there something in the air? Why all these nasty threads all of a sudden? Maybe the monumentally depressing political party wars are trickling down even to this humble forum?

People: It's spring. It's Easter (take it either way, the renewal of life or the resurrection of Christ).  We live in a land of plenty. We spend our time playing with astounding technology, which allows us to do things Bach or Mozart didn't even dream of. Why attack each other? how infantile.

You know, I think there may be something about your comment about "the monumentally depressing political party wars".  I also laud your comment about it being spring and Easter. "Hurrah" for that.

My wife was recently looking at a site that was a retroview to the early 80's. Do you realize that within only one year we had John Lennon's murder, the assassination attempts of Reagan and Pope John Paul II, and the assassination of Anwar Sadat?

Maybe it really isn't so bad now.

And we are so far ahead technologically. It is a great day to be a musician (if not a particularly great day to be making money at music, but is that really so different?).

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

Sometimes I feel as if I've landed on a different planet.  I've never had problems with the search, and when I have been stuck, in every case somebody has helped me out on this forum.  What more could you want?

I also resent a lot of these comments.  I am a singer-songwriter and Sonar has been a good tool for me.  If you don't like it, move to a new platform.  Begone.

PS:  I only have time to post on this forum because I am leaving on a long trip, me and my acoustic guitar.  Maybe I'll write a song about bad attitude.

I am "Five Foot Wall" on Spotify, Deezer, etc.  Platinum, Windows 7 64bit, AMD FX-6100 hex-core @3.8ghz, 8 gig ram (never use more than 5 gigs), Delta 44, UM-2

Well, I'm glad I read this thread for the google site search tip. I'd been using the forum search to try to figure out how to download my Melodyne copy (not in my command center for some reason), and was getting nowhere. Google search, found the solution it two minutes.

Edit: Hmm seems like I'm posting under my new(ish) site account user name rather than my old(ish) forum id user name.

Good point. I was around for the sixties (yes I remember them, I only graduated from High School in 1969 and didn't become "experienced," in the Jimi Hendrix sense, till the seventies. In the sixties, JFK was assassinated, RFK also, plus MLK and yet other civil rights leaders. Then there was Vietnam. Enough said. Yes, as depressing as it may seem, things were a whole lot worse back then.

Great idea.  Add tunes about self-aggrandizement, humility, positive attitudes, self deprecation, etc.
