Since the IK installer will keep putting the plugins you don't own back, rather than remove them I used the Cakewalk Plugin Manager to disable them.  End result is the same (plugins I don't own won't show up in Sonar) but there isn't any issue installing IK updates.  And if I do ever decide to buy I can just go and re-enable it.

It is so nice to log on and see that sanity is prevailing amongst the so-called "rant" crowd here in Sonar land :)

I feel bad for Peter.

I worked in Customer support for AT&T for a good while and you could learn to detect those who called in and respectfully detailed legitimate concerns and would sincerely like to know who to address to get their issue resolved and those who called into rant and rave just to let off steam.

At the top end, there was the woman from Georgia whose husband would beat her if he came home from work and couldn't get connected to his smut site. I spoke with her twice and the fear in her voice when she called and she was getting dropouts in the connection and her husband would be home in 10 minutes...

At the low end, the guy who called in every other morning and screamed and moaned he couldn't connect and he just lost $20,000 by missing a stock buyout or something. I would tell him if he enough money to speculate and lose $20,000, didn't he have enough money to add on a second provider? At that time in 1998, there were even free ISPs? But no, the whine and groan crowd had to have their morning dump on AT&T with their coffee.

As I mentioned at the offset, lets bemoan the fact that one of ours just got robbed and lost his life's work to some backwoods detritus. I know others who have lost significant portions of the creative life held up to ransom ware.

IK is not in that malware league.

This afternoon, I go in for my 6 months MRI and then on Thursday the doc tells me the latest on how long I have to live. 2 months, 1 year?

Well like I say, I am happy to see the Sonar crowd has respect in their rants and doesn't go off on the deep smut end like I see against IK for the same issue in other forums, over and over.

I guess this is my morning rant.

Well anyhow, Peter, like others have respectfully said, I'm glad you are on board.

"I'm just workin' on a good life, the way it is."

Best, Robby K
