Do you really stare at it when the projects are loading up? I'm hoping it will come in handy if & when a project won't open. It might give an indication as to what plugin isn't loading properly. Not sure if it operates that way but it would be great if it did.

Yeah...
I glance at it, but don't pay too much attention t I feel sure it will be a great help with projects that have difficulties.
As to the little one-liner? I only look at it when I'm hoping for a laugh! 🎶
Easy enough to ignore, but for those it bothers i can understand wanting an enable choice...

I love it. Before, for some reason, I always had a teeny weeny bit of anxiety that the load might go on forever, signalling a project file irretrievably corrupted.

^^^^ This! This "feature" is one of those silly things developers do, just because they can. It serves no real purpose, imo, apart from a bit of eye candy and it gets tired very quickly and just adds one more bit of code to be loaded at boot. So yeah, I agree with the OP

We're all waiting for CbB to move forward. Someone should take the developers in hand and tell them to stop frittering away precious time, theirs and ours.

The main purpose of the toasts is to notify the project load status. Its a feature that can be very useful for self help when troubleshooting long project load times or failures to load. We've wanted to add this for a long time. Most recently this request came from none other than Waves to help them troubleshoot issues!

We'll add a way to turn it off for those who really don't like it for whatever reason. The majority of modern apps have a load status today so it will stay as the default. Its not considered good UX to have any operation that can take more than a few seconds have no status updates.

I think the objections are referring to the cute one liner message at the end, rather than the actual status update of the project load.
I don’t mind either way, but just clarifying what I believe some people are asking to switch off.

It is in none that I use??? Mebbe just a bit of a spurious argument to support a less than essential inclusion? IMO there are far more important things to be fixed/added. I have not noticed any specific requests in the wish-lists for Sonar for this specific addition? As it is another company (Waves - perhaps there is some commercial advantage being achieved here??) asking and not a user I guess that means it gets done immediately ahead of more essential fixes? - (rhetorical question only)

I don't understand some folks. Keep doing what you're doing, Cake/BL. I love the current direction. Every month there's been some extra polish that makes me happy I stuck with this platform. People who think there are unlimited developement, testing, and QA resources available to Cake at this point are just dreaming. Dream on! Also, make music! And if you don't like the toast, avert your eyes!

I have no problem with the feature itself. However, I do feel that the silly little one liners make the program seem amateurish. I would prefer it just do it's business and keep it professional. Just my 2 cents.

Hi I am definitely getting mad with this Bandlab program. I have Cubase and purchased It when cakewalk went down. Bandlab worked ok at first, but just recently I have got those script errors and now It will not recognize my first edition Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 drivers. I now start Bandlab and choose a basic project and a screen keeps flashing on and off and when I can read In between flashes and audible pip noise, It says focusrite drivers are not recognized. I managed to get to preferences to check and made sure all my Focusrite driver opions were ticked. Still get a flashing pipping screen and It has crashed on me once and Microsoft said it Is collection Information. That is about that I have uninstalled Bandlab as I am a great believer in ,you get nothing free. This program is getting worse every update. I have a latest fast machine and it is rock solid. There is nothing wrong with my computer. Cubase works fine. Anyone like me having grief with this program. All the best John

Sounds like a typical user problem. Cakewalk/CBB is perfect, most problems such as yours are user related. When did this start happening? Was it after an update?
