Cracking grungy rocker, really liked that. Great hook too, that'll be running through my head all day!

awesome :) thanks James. very cool.

Bro, this is cool as hell, & right up my alley personally. I think the vox maybe a hair too far back but that is really subjective. I like how you left the narly guitar noises in the intro/ending. It's got that gritty rock feel to it. Nice mix & Great hook.

cool; thanks Chuck- yeah i ducked the vox back a bit esp in the pre-chorus as to emulate when we play it live etc... as if Dan and Alan were singing those lines. yeah some gnarly chug-chunks and grunge slop noise as bookends ;p

I totally liked everything about this.  Really nice work, Daren.  I have mixed feelings about this genre, liking about 50% of what I hear, but THIS TUNE is great!

much appreciated Warren :) yea i tried to bring a tiny bit of musicianship to the punk genre here so like everyone doesn't go running lol - i love punk but i understand those who hate it lol

STinGA

Dood, 2 weeks in and I'm loving everything you put out, come on give us an album.... :-)

Great stuff, I love the hyper compressed sound.

hey cool STinGA- thanks :) yeah for what i'm doing i think the compression works despite the scary waveform lol ;p

The song goes well dirtily forward. I love the energy and the psychedelic touch.
The vocs sounds like Layne Staley. Superb!

The song construction is more than consistent. I like the mix also very much.

The guitars are great, but in mono they collapse a bit.  That changes nothing on the quality of the song.
Exactly my taste!

Cheers

Though punk has never really been my thing and It took me a few spins to warm up to it, I'm liking it more now. Lots of raw energy. The production is really good.
Spent an hr the other day listening to your other track, and I really dig the AIC vibe on a couple of them.

hey thanks feleson & Kev. also cool if you dig AIC as there is some semblance when i layer harmonies as you noticed. people used to say we sounded like smashing pumpkins meets alice in chains, which i guess i can live with lol -

Not really my genre either.... but I love it a little too.  What raw energy, very fun.  Love the vocals and lyrics.  Good stuff, guess I'm going to have to get caught up on your other tracks as well.

Well done mate! I like this a lot. I don't think I'd call it punk though. IMO, it's more alternative. It's definitly a rocker and sounds great!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

What ENERGY this piece projects!  Love the guitar tones and how that sit in the mix.  I really dig the dirty live vibe this mix has.  I guess I'm the odd man out when it comes to the vocals.  I think they need to come waaaay more forward in the mix.  The song has so much energy but the volume of the vocals are wimpy in compare.  Listen to a "GREEN DAY" song and thats the vocal vibe I'm talking about. GREAT piece!

Perfect!!  I love the punky feel, the energy, that cool ending (very pre- and early punk), and the way the lead guitar just kind of slid in there.  It has a touch of that 1977-78 early days of punk feel.   I also like where the vocals are set.  It gives the song that edge that makes it so durn cool.

hey thanks Mike, Rob, Kev, Ed & Freddy for the feedback!

i realize the vox could come up a tad, but i set them in the mix where they are to give it a more 'CBGBs' flavor ;p
i put my vox in pre-chorus back a bit more to emulate live performance where Alan and Dan would be singing those bg parts etc...

cool :)
