USB CD now available.

Well it's finally ready for anyone that wants to purchase it. I'm really pleased with the way it's turned out, especially after hearing the final master cd that was mastered for me by audiomasters.co.uk. one has done a great job with the graphics despite me trying to offer my non-artistic ideas. I'm selling it at cafepress's base price so i'm not gonna be getting any money from sales, but i was never really in it for the money anyway.
I hope some of you buy it and enjoy it. If anyone does get it i'd be really glad to hear what you think of it.
Details can be found here:

Cheers,
blipp.

    Hi Blipp!
YAY..I'm the first buyer!! I definitely look forward to this (even though it's not trance!LOL) and envy you! I'm no where near this timing yet...I only have a couple of CD worthy songs and it'll likely be awhile yet...

But I was looking into this cafepress thing too! I'll want to talk with you about this more!
    Take care and good luck!

Great news blipp! Just ordered it.

I'm almost as excited to hear the "professional" mastering as I am a single collection of your work. Both will serve as inspirations.

You should've given yourself a couple of bucks off of each CD, you'd be doing us a favour too, provided you invested all proceeds in more gear and what have you. Seriously, I'd have paid double!

Thanks guys. I did think about adding something on top of the base price, but i honestly was'nt sure what people would consider too high a price to pay. There was also the consideration of the postage on top too. In the end i thought that getting it out there was more important than getting a few dollars back and a dollar is only about 40p in uk money anyway, meaning i'd have to sell a lot to earn anything worthwhile.

At the end of the day, this is just a hobby for me and getting any sort of appreciation from my peers is worth more than money to me really.

Thanks again for buying it guys. Hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think of it.

I bought it too. :-) Look forward to hearing it. And for the record, I would have paid 20-40% more.

Also went over to cdbaby and bought Grandpa Mojo's cd.

Also bought six Aimee Mann cds from Amazon (they've been in my wishlist forever.) Actually it's five cds and a dvd that comes with a bonus cd. And no I'm not turning into a woman, I just dig Aimee Mann.

So, I've gone a little cd-nuts, you might say.

    Cheers,
    blipp.

congrats! I am working hard to finish my CD as well, but I don't beleive I can afford to have someone else master it. Might I enquire how much money it cost you for the mastering, and if you have any remarks on the process of how you chose that company and how it was done I am sure many here would be interested in your comments.
Again, congrats! And I hope you sell a million of them. Damn, even if it was sixty minutes of silence, it would be better than the pap that gets on the radio over here.

I don't beleive I can afford to have someone else master it.

Neither could i really, but i had this sudden rush of blood to the head and made a mad impulsive decision to go for it. I was just doing a google search on mastering, for technical info more than anything, and i just happened upon www.audiomaster.co.uk

The cost for mastering a whole album is a measily £100. Very low priced in mastering terms, but a small fortune to me. I read through the site a few times and thought i'd have it done for posterity. Probably a mad and stupid decision in hindsight, but it's done now.

I sent the master cd in and it was all done by the next day. I previewed the tracks and asked for a few tweaks, which they did. It's a non-commital arrangement. that means if you are'nt satisfied with the results after hearing the mp3's they upload, then you can just say no thanks and walk away.

I'm pleased with the final result considering the price, but i'm not saying that many people on this forum could'nt do an equally good job, but i could'nt.

I have to leave it up to other people who listen to it to be the final judge though as i'm too involved with the tracks so i can't be objective enough about them.

"one" from the Auditorium who did my artwork tested the mp3's on his system and gave them the thumbs up anyway. Anything you need to know is at the site so it's probably best if you read that. hope that helps people.

I've replaced two of the tracks on my soundclick page for the remixed, remastered cd versions if you wanna check them out. They are "Random Equations" and "uplift"

    Hi Blipp,

Random Equations arrived today - just listening for the first time (on "Uplift" right now). The transition of Skim into Uplift was really nice. My wife's enjoying it too. And as far as I can tell, so is Marley (pictured, left). So far it sounds great! Looks really good too - nice work by :10: and one on the graphics.

Great Ben. Glad your enjoying it. Thanks

Yeh cursed did get a bit crunchier. I remixed all the tracks without compression for the masterer's so it's probably as a result of that.

one certainly did a fantastic job with the graphics, but you deserve a lot of praise for the logo Sean, it's awesome.

Mine only shipped on tuesday so... I dunno when I'll get one. It's coming UPS ground, which doesn't have tracking. Looking forward to it.

I also highly recommend Grandpa Mojo's cd on cdbaby. Got it and it rocks.

    Listening now.

    Couple things.

    I'm loving your tunes. :-)
the cd Really *sounds* great, Audiomaster did a good job.
Putting the 'portrait' under the cd is brilliant. I took the cd out and had a good chuckle. :-)
misprint? "...produced by USB between October 2005 and April 2005."

darnit, you're making me want to do a cafepress cd!
