Thanks everyone, I'm a bit of a grouchy old fart when it comes to anybody changing my world! I literally spend more time in PRV that I do earning a living!
Sonars PVR was 100% why I just could not think of switching DAW's.
So you can see the why of my reaction at first, It's like someone turned out the lights in my workroom!  After a few hours I kind of like the Mercury colors too! It translates over to the console view nicely.  so all is good.
We all remember the reaction to X series when it came out.

I was one of the few who remained positive after November. So if anybody should be happy it's me.

PS- Yes the Air issue is because Air uses a none standard install and all the dll files end up an a hidden place.
I copied them over to my Stienberg VST folder where I keep all 3rd party stuff. Everything working fine.

Just a follow up.
I followed S cooks instructions on how to get the PVR back to normal and it worked..well with a little more than what was said.
There were no theme files in either the Cakewalk or the Sonar Theme Folders..Hmm

So I opened Splat, In preferences/themes I chose EDIT, didn't do anything, used "save as"  Named it "My Tung"  It put "My tung.sth  in the Sonar Theme folder.  I copied that to the Cakewalk Theme folder ( Just realized I could have done this as part of the save as, duh)
Opened Bandlab, Preferences/Themes and the loaded up no problem. So that was a biggy solved. Once again saved by Steve.
One day with the Mercury theme and I was going crazy...

I suggest the man who has a picture of a troll for his avatar turn his monitor brightness up if he can't see properly.

That was real helpfull!
And it's not a troll it's a Yard Gnome. BIG difference.

I'm sorry, but I find this very entertaining, perhaps at both of yours expense.
. . . but know that it made me laugh out loud

I tried Mercury and it gives me a correct PRV but makes the rest of Sonar way to colorful.

If you're referring to the colorful track strip headers, you can disable that in Preferences -> Colors, by unchecking "Show strip colors". Hope that helps.

Sorry I missed this first time around, Thanks because you need to do this if ALL you have is CbC installed at this point in time. Cbc has no theme editor. I would have never found that little box in a million years.

If it was a Baker from the old country who always wanted red on black prv, thanks whoever restrained them all these years. If it was a Bandlab individual, No no no we don't do such drastic things to the users without an immediate remedy.
