Lynn

Frank, this deserves a really cool video to go with it because it sounds like an instant classic.  An impeccable song!
Thanks Lynn... I have a few ideas for a video... The trick will be for the ideological perspective of the the artist to remain ambiguous... I'm not out to make any provocative political statements...
I would like to provoke thought & artistic imagery, but I don't want to alienate half of my potential listeners... does any of that make any sense..?

I just uploaded a slightly refined mix...

Great production - great song.  Absolutely love the blistering solo!  That tone is beautiful.  And the phrasing and choice of notes has so much feel.  I'm a sucker for a totally saturated blues guitar tone with expression.   All the other aspects are wonderful too.

The thing that sticks out for me in this tune are the backing vocals. I don't mean they stick out in the mix... I think they're perfectly blended, and that's a difficult thing to do. For me, at least. Great job on this tune and a great feel. If I had one crit, it would be that the lead vocal, though sonically sound, seems a little carved out to me. Maybe let it flow just a little bit more. Not so much on the 1. That's just a matter of my vocal performance preference. Amazing recording and arrangement though!

Frank,

This is great.  Crazy about that guitar tone.   The guitar in the intro has that beautiful Stevie Ray jazzy\blues tone on Riveria Paradise.   Guitar solo was spectacular........Really like this a lot.

Wow -- this number has a bit of everything.  It has a traditional R & B sound carrying it along with a Steve Miller feel.  Those wonderful guitar leads almost have a bit of Santana touch without all the excessive drama.  Terrific writing, arrangement and performance.  I believe that you have some of the best and most professional sounding mixes on this forum.  In summary, two words describe what you have done here --- just excellent!

Nice job.... expresses the sentiment of many folks I tend to know, and hang with a bit from time to time.

Nothing like a paranoia doomsday tune to start this cloudy and rainy Saturday.

I love that tone too.... it just bites, but in a good way. I think Robby could explain that better, more eloquent way than I could....

I like the song Frank.

I think ScottyTunes just pegged a new moniker for you Franky-Panky :) Whatever you call it, it's great. Your solos are always so melodic, a predominance of blues with a slight taste of jazz. Your mixes are always so clean, clear and distinct.... Great job!

If I'm not mistaken, this is that song you were going to re-do as a new song.  It works for me.  Gheeesh, I love this.  Vocals seem to fit to me.  Any louder might distract from the "so hot" music.  Sounds perfect to these sinus infected ears!  LOL.  Great work.

Back for a 2nd listen Frank..still loving this. If you're still open to suggestions I might push the lead vocal just a hair, likewise the slide fills. The guitar work on this song is as good as anything you've done, just excellent.

Sounds great Frank. Who did all the vocs? Sounded like a church choir of, um, er, (looking for political correctness)
afro american females here and there.

Love them geetar solos.

BTW, It did seem like the line "evil's out to get you, and bring your people down" seemed a little lower in volume than the rest.

If i could play guitar as good as you and get that wonderful tone, i'd be a very happy man.

You're firing on all cylinders on this one.

This remix is sounding wonderful Frank.

This is perfection to my ears as i don't see how it could be improved.

Excellent work all-round.
