change your sampling rate to 44100Hz and see what happens.

I am not familiar enough with the lexicon software to know anything about how it works and as to why the "latency panel" still shows 48k. I might try a reboot after changing the settings in the device settings window and see if it still says 48k on the latency panel when you return. but I honestly don't think that's the problem and at this point I'm not sure what it is. remind me - did we try WDM driver mode? I'll read thru the thread again after I post this.

and your realtek issue really has me baffled as well. did you ever disable it completely and then reboot and see if that solved anything?

Well I'll be... I was under the impression the alpha couldn't do WDM, but I just switched it over and now everything is fine :/ http://grab.by/8sta

57Gregy Also, in Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices, turn off the Microsoft system sounds (Sounds>No Sounds). You may want to disable the RealTek in the Device Manager, too. By chance is this a Media Center computer? Turning off System Sounds can keep MS from grabbing the audio device, whatever that is.
