Upgrade announcement...
I really hope I speak for the bulk of the Sonar Community when I express this sentiment... I heard about the X3c Upgrade coming in October...and probably like most of you, started checking my email more frequently starting October 15th in anticipation...and as it happens, Sonar made us wait to the last possible day...SHAME ON YOU SONAR! As much as I was looking forward to the upgrade, I absolutely hated having to wait until Sonar couldn't put it off any longer in order hit their promised announcement date. I FOR ONE WOULD RATHER SONAR HAD ANNOUNCED EARLY NOVEMBER...what say we all?
Learning...is there ever an end to the madness?

I've got no problem whatsoever with Cakewalk. The software has been out a little over a month and they've released 2 updates already.

Can't say you speak for the bulk. I'm sure some agree, but others like me would rather they hold off instead of rushing it out there. if you say you would have been fine with waiting for Novemeber..BAM..you got it early. Just pretend they announced lat week it was coming Thanksgiving day.

Yup I agree, how dare they fix bugs and attempt to release patches in a "release early, release often" manner. I mean that's almost like a proper way of doing things.... And how dare they deliver exactly what they said they would ;)

You don't speak for me. Really don't get the problem, and appreciate the Bakers letting us know their plans. And I would so wish that everyone would get that they are just plans, and that things might happen, and if so THEY need to make the call not to follow those plans. But this time they actually managed to deliver, so that makes the complaint even stranger.

Sorry, you don't speak for me either. I have no problem with late October being the last day of October, I would've waited longer because X3b has been pretty solid for me, no crashes, just annoyances and they've been fixed with the c patch. Overall, I'm a happy camper!

+1 It seems like a complete non-issue to me since they said late October, and it's late October. And even if it had been an additional few days to get in the bug fixes they wanted... it's an estimate, not a promise.

Wow, poor SONAR gets blamed for everything. Even communicating the dates and and making you wait for the update Seriously though, we said end of month. And today is the end of the month. I (not SONAR) also updated users on the forum on a timeline. And frankly speaking, if for some reason we couldn't hit the end of the month it would have gone out when its ready. Really the most important thing is to do right by the product and not by some date. So whether it was yesterday, today, tomorrow, next week...the mission is always to get it right. And this thread is just another example of the reason we sometimes are hesitant to share information and put down exact dates. Software is not like hardware, where you put it in production months before. We try to get these updates out as quickly as possible with the max amount of fixes. Therefore there's always a chance things could slip a few days.

Andrew Fossa please stop being honest with users. This will never do;) We begged for X3C you delivered... Now we can get annoyed about something else ;) It's YOUR fault we have to check our email, and I'd also like to let you know I crashed my car on the way to work this morning.... Why? I was thinking about X3D. So I will be sending the bill for it's repair very soon.
I for one am totally disgused and it's for this reason I have a recently diagnosed liver complaint. Sadly I do not expect to recover but I have told friends and family that Cakewalk is to blame. Also I notice the price of beer has gone up recently and I want to be a spaceman but I can't afford it. In fact I'm not even sure there is an afterlife and if there is it won't have X3D, once again you are to blame for not sorting this out ;)
Yours disgusted!

Although I grew up in Saint Louis, I convinced myself that living in Boston and going to Bezerklee was a good thing. Used to sit on the billboard above the Green Monster, across the street in my "off" time. But now having to like Boston brewed software.... well ...that's been easier than liking a team without Yaz on it anymore. (they are going to shave now aren't they and ditch the "Deliverance" look)?
Boston does have a huge beer selection from what I remember, but there was a void of spacemen around for sure.

He has not displayed a great sense of humour on here so far.. Anyhow. The OP certainly doesn't speak for me. I am finding X3 a great program, and am overjoyed at the frequent updates and Cake interaction with us. Thanks, Cakewalk.
