V-S 700 + Octa Capture error...

Got the Octa Capture today and installed per instructions and then...
I get an error message: VS EXPAND : Version does not match.
WTF??????
ALl the latest version of s/w installed and  I can get the devices to show for one or the other - the V-S 700 devices or the Octa Capture, not both. The patchbay shows up...

Any help out there?

You have a patchbay with software  in between the octacapture and the VS700? If you do, the patchbay is not going to pass the information to the computer that the Vs700 is plugged into ? What's your hookup consist of? Try disabling the patchbay software in Sonar. Is the VS 700 greyed out or not even listed?

i do not have a patchbay other than the octacapture s/w. I get either the 700 devices OR the OC devices - not both. 700 is greyed out.

I forgot to add - opening control panel in windows to devices shows the octa capture ASIO panel  and I check the vs expand box and the Panel for the VS700 shows VS Expand: version does not match.
Got off the phone with Roland and am going to redo firmware updates on the V700R and the Octa Capture. Thanks to Tony at Roland for his help!

    Here goes....

No go. tried everything and can't get them to work together. In Windows -  VS Expand is not triggering the hardware with the driver settings - not talking except it sees the sample rate and reports that.
This is an odd problem that no one seems to have encountered...until now?

Strange... Is the VS-700 driver 2.01? Not 2.0

Are both the Octa-Capture and the vs-700 connected on the same usb controller i.e. 2 stacked usb inputs on the back of your computer?

Are you shure the usb input are not usb 3.0 inputs?

Let us know if you find out!

VS-700 driver is 2.0.0, same usb controller, all usb 2.0.
I will look for the 2.01 drivers, maybe that will help......

    Hi funboyuno!
How's it going with the 2.0.1 drivers? Everything working fine with Vs-700 and Octacapture??

I would have to update from 2.0.0 to 2.0.1 for the same reasons but found some problems reported in another thread but that stopped dead and dates back to before X1d ...

    Your comments are much appreaciated!

Just got my problem fixed + posted in other threads.

I hate threads that stop dead while there might be a solution ...
