VST Club - What Is This???

I accidentally stumbled accross this website:
link removed

What is this? These prices look wrong. Surely they cannot be legally selling products at these prices. Surely they cannot be illegally advertizing.

Is this too good to be true?
Guitar Rig 2 $10?
Atmosphere $45?
Arturia Arp2600 $10
Are these guys selling software, or reviews?

Anyone with experience with this company?

Thanks

Sonica Dual Core 3.4 GHz, 2GB Ram, 3HDs, UAD1, PoCo Firewire, DIGI 9652, D8B, vintage synths, guitars and more money than talent (though questionable how much of either). XP Home SP2. SPE6.2. Other things of variable interest.

Native Instruments Guitar RIG 2 [Full Version]
    $10.00

    Real Guitar 2
    $12.00

    Pro Tools M-Powered
    $30.00

    REAKTOR 5 Native Instruments $12.00

    and best of all,

Reaktor User Library 2006 Native Instruments $25.00

Reaktor User Library isn't even for sale, its free to registered useres, so how could they sell it, dead give away (as if the 10 dollar prices wasn't)

    Yeah, what he said.

What is this? Is this cracked software? If so, how do they get away with this on the web?
    Is it a scam?

Man $250 could go a long way in this store, if it didn't end you in jail or out of pocket $250 in the process.

I thought it was last year's software, but there are a bunch of new entries in there as well.

Scook - not my intention. I was hoping someone would say
"VST Club is a reseller of last year's models of software. Their incredibly low prices are _____"

I have never purchased any pirated software or even used PTP file sharing for music. I was just floored by the prices and the confusion as to whether someone could actually advertise anything that wasn't 100% legal.

I have no knowledge about whether these guys are legit and that is why I was asking the question.

As the old saying goes, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. That is where I stand.

If you look at the best sellers chart you see that Sonar 5 is on top and number 2 is Cubase sx 3 + crack, so it is a warez selling site
I also noticed that they are selling Rapture, and the expansion banks there also + Dimension Pro

Maybe you should send a mail to cakewalk tech support about this.

I think he's asking you to edit your posts to erase all references to the name of the site/store...which may be a good idea.

Well, for a warz site, it almost looks legitimate. But the big clue is that they do not identify themselves or their location, i.e., no contact information, no "About Us."

I suppose there is a slight chance that they are selling old boxed copies of software that can't compete with the newest stuff, but that seems really unlikely to me.

    I would avoid it.

I dont think it would be a criminal offence - rather than cival, somthing like that. You wouldnt go to jail, I dont know how much trouble you would get into either, if any at all. (well maybe you would now - because they would have to prove you knew you were buying illegal material - and now you know ) But, if you were downloading this stuff free, crack and all, then you could be sued for sevral, sevral, sevral thousands of dollars, and guess what - you'll loose Really I dont understand sites that sell illegal software, that is the same stuff from p2p for free - unless people would rather buy it there, than get it free, so that they can play mister dumbass, and shrug their shoulders saying, hey, i bought it, i thought it was legit, which would prob work. So like they said above, would be best to remove the link, and the company name

They have dfh superior for $169.
Is there someone who pays $169 for pirated software?? I mean $169 for a software
without support, upgrades, manuals, etc when the legal version is about $250??
    Too weird market!!

And they have links to the official product page, and accept visa!! give your credit card
number to a pirate and see what can happen.

It looks very confusing to me too!!

I have not and never will buy pirated software.

Is there a source of "last year's model" software on the market somewhere? I have several older VSTs I love. What happens to obsolete software?

Hmmmm....if you look under "Catagories" and click on "Editors", you see "Cubase 3SX + crack". Sorta says it all, doesn't it?

I wonder if they'd actually send you anything once you they have your money? I'm not going to be the one to find out.

    Here's their name server registration...

    NS1.SPACEWEB.RU

RU - Not that all Russian sites are selling cracks, but their does seem to be a correlation between really cheap software and RU nameservers...

    I hate cracked software.

If you take the dash out of the original name Chauncey posted, you go to a russian site (mostly in english, though) (probably the same people, but who knows?) that lets you download almost anything for free... There is even a forum where the "moderators" freely admit to being crack-ers and tell people how to fix bad passwords, etc...Not endorsing, just googling the name and seeing what comes up...

Let's see... Under the "Shipping and returns" page we have nothing but "Put here your shipping and returns". And under the "Privacy" page we have "Put here your Privacy info". So it's a public site that doesn't ship or return. Cool! Well, at least you can buy gift vouchers.

But you know... they're offering "Nuendo 3 + crack" for $10, while "Cubase SX3 + crack" goes for $30. Al's right, it's a crazy world.

It amazes me that someone can advertize this. This process began when I was searching for info about some VST that they loved (I dont even remember the title now). This was the first thing that came up on Google.

I immediately sent an email to the company to find out "Is this registered software?" I got no response. That is why I came here, to see if anyone had heard anything.

Thank goodness. Posting warez links promote piracy. While you might be stunned how else would you propose that a warez site sell stolen goods?
