Dave- I know what you are saying about the delay.  I would have liked to try that but the only vocal we had was already done with the echo.  Thanks for listening, buddy.  When's our next tune? :-)  I still get a lot of comments on Hippies.  Ha!

MarkClean-Thanks, partner!!  Is this the firstime you heard it?  Wink!

Janet- Is Mamabear still there?  Thanks for listening.  The Garys did a great job and working with Dena's vocal, well.  It wonderful.

Tony- Thanks, my friend!

Hi,

Well, I'm late as usual but I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words and express my appreciation/admiration for the superb talents of Gary, Dena, Warren and Will.

Special thanks to Warren for inviting me to be a part of this beautiful song.

When's our next tune? :-)  I still get a lot of comments on Hippies.  Ha!

Actually I have one about 75% written with the ol' Hippie gang in mind. But my current CD project has taken all my time... hopefully in the Spring I'll dust it off!!  That's still one of my all time fav collabs.

WOW!  I'm at a loss for words.

I haven't been around much and I've obviously missed seeing the initial post on this one.

1st off, what an incredible colaboration.  The lyrics are  simply great.  My compliments to ALL who colaborted in this regard.

2nd, This is an awesome example of less is sooooooo much more.  Every part of the instrumentation/musicianship was very tastefully done.  Great job guys.  Also, I can't overlook the mix.  This is a really nice mix.

Last, All I can can say is that Dena has done such an incredible job of telling a story here.  There is so much emotion in this performance.  I think this is why I'm so drawn to this song.   Awesome job.

I'll tell ya..this tune just 'held' me from beginning to the end..

It doesn't get any better than this IMO....

The emotional side to the vox and instruments is very evident, and, that's what it's all about!!!!

You guys & gal just rule the musical world with this.

Scotty- Thanks, man!

Freddy- Thanks, Blues Dude!

Ian- Peace to you too, brother!  I don't hear esses but that is why I don't do final mixes, etc.  I rough them together and someone else does finals.  I'll listen with that in mind.  Thanks for taking the time to comment

Nice tune! It's one of those songs that sounds effortless. One of those songs that carries you along as a musician, I bet. You know, like it was there before you ever wrote it or worked on it. Among the top 10 I've heard on this forum so far. : )

Peace, love and soul train,

warren-

excellent song!
great clean recording on the intro, nice balance to everything.
with a nice, open arrangment like this, it's easy to let every part shine.

great guitar capture.....
piano sounds great as well.
really nice vocal performance, i like the choice of mic and pre for this, it's a good combo, whatever it is.

since this started as electric, it'd be great to hear a fully realized band version of this as well....

but as a soft ballad, works perfectly.
great job

Rob- Thanks a bunch for the really nice comments.  Electric could be in the works, could be. :-)  Keep on rockin" :-)

Mark- Thank you so much.  The Garys did a great job and I've always loved Dena's voice.  What a combo.  What an honor to work with them.  We appreciate your compliments!
