Have you tried ubermod or hdelay  ?

Hey Bit...what will FabFilter Timeless 2 not do fer ya? 

I have been on a quest for the perfect delay plugin for years. The perfect delay would have every feature that SuperTap has: pan, level and filter control for each echo, plus modulation. It would also be very easy to use, meaning I can quickly create whatever delay effect I hear in my head with minimal fuss. SuperTap is not easy to use, results are unpredictable and its UI is ridiculously small. It's also prone to clicks when automating or when tempo changes while tempo-synced. And those sliders that scoot back and forth on their own as the plugin syncs to tempo are disconcerting.


Ubermod, which I have, is great fun but it's hit-and-miss when attempting anything specific. I also have RP-Delay, same story: capable of interesting effects, but you never know exactly what you're going to get. Timeless2, which I've demoed, is amazingly programmable, but overly complex for most routine tasks. Still a front-runner, though.


HDelay is one that I've not tried. However, being a Waves product automatically pushes it to the bottom of the pile unless it goes on sale for $8.

How often has anyone here ever said to themselves 'you know what this guitar part needs? I'm thinking like 8 different delays all at once would really pull this thing together'.
