Yay I love whip rounds! But am I missing something about where to donate, or is that still to be announced? I'd suggest GoFundMe but I think they take a cut...

Listen, you guys are great and the Beepster is deserving. I don't want to end up with two subscriptions but I'll buy the upgrade and PM the redemption code to Beepster. If you want to follow up on your pledges you can donate to http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/help-darcie-be-free-to-breathe/243616

I just need some confirmation that this works for you all and I'll press the buy button.

Just waiting for Windows to update on my office computer which was woefully out of date so I can make sure my PP account isn't borked out.

As a thank you maybe I'll put together some TH2 preset banks and post them. I've got a bunch in the full version already but I'll see what I can slap together in the Producer version so everyone can use them. It ain't much but maybe they'll be useful to some of you.

Cheers.

That could work if everyone's into it. I'm about 20 minutes away from PMing the Paypal addy (Windows is taking foreeever to update) so it'll give everyone a chance to decide.

My fault. Just gotta check my PP account then I'll be PMing everyone the email addy. I don't do that stuff on my laptop for security reasons and I needed to patch my desktop. Won't be long now.

@tKx5050, that's really nice of you, but if Beep is really close to getting his PP account all wired up, let's let him go ahead and do that.

We'll keep your offer in our back pocket in case Beep can't work it out. Thanks for helping!!

Wow this went fast. I'll definitely give $20 in case more funds are needed, in case someone can't come through due to a PP issue or whatever. My PP account is set up and ready to go.

As usual Win Update stalled updating IE (which I don't even use). Just cleaning up that mess and I'll be good to go.

Thanks again, guys. Sorry for the bumblefartery.

Okay, fully updated. PP account is active. Man they changed their look DRASTICALLY since I last logged in.

Anyway... looks like the "Send Money to Friends and Family" option is what they have used to replace the old "Gift" option. It says it is free for domestic transactions. Not sure if that includes US to Canada.

I'm going to send PMs to everyone who said they'd like to pitch in with my paypal addy. I'll keep an eye on the balance and once we hit the mark I'll post something to let everyone know it's covered.

Seriously... thanks guys. This is unbelievable. What a great place.

Sure I'll throw in money too, if it is paypal and needed.  And I'll be happy to drop someone's $20 to a 10 or whatever.  I've been saying for a while a $20 is the new 5.  Break it and its gone.  This is a good cause.

Cakewalk crowd funder.  Cool.

Feels good to be doing this - I lurk mostly, but enjoy this community (and Beeps' posts) a lot.
I just checked Paypal FAQs.  US to Canada is international.  It looks like the transaction fee will be 3.9% plus $0.30. So - roughly US$0.70 fee for US$10, or US$1.08 for US$20.
It looks like the sender can opt to pick up the fee; if not, the recipient is charged.
Let's not leave Beeps just a bit short of the goalpost :)

hmm... how long does Paypal take to show payments these days? It has been ages since I've used it to receive payments so I can't remember if it takes a while. My balance hasn't gone up yet.
