Yes I have updated to 8.5.3, but I am currently using 8.0.2 for projects. 8.5.3 doesn't like something about our system and we have had constant dropouts and crashes, so i just avoid it and use 8.0.2. thanks.

FWIW, dropouts can usually be managed, fixed.  Crashes too, but if you are getting crashes, it would help to have as much detail as possible.  Error messages, types of crash, etc, can be useful in debugging the problems and working to a resolution.

More often than not, audio and video drivers are suspects.  Memory is next.  CPU overheating, power supplies are also suspects.  But through a systematic approach, a deductive approach, things can usually get resolved.

Well, as the old saying goes:  "Whatever works."   However, if there are features/fixes in 8.5.3 you would benefit from, then it might be useful to try to debug and solve the problems so you can have those benefits.
