Of all the info mentioned in this Fred, this is all I saw....

But Michael, if you'd like to play sometime......I do play on-line on Yahoo.

I don't. I do very little on-line. Did I mention why?

Besides....I get beat on level 5....and it's never mad because I quit. Mainly it's about the only thing
that works on a 4500 dollar computer. Games.
Of course....now it doesn't even do that...it's at the doctors house...the one that built it. Kinda goes
hand in hand with that Frankenstein deal huh?

I actually did see that you were having issues with that machine and my sympathies on all the frustration it's caused.......hopefully they can repair it. It doesn't matter much about the levels we're at.....we can always just play for fun.......somebody's got to lose and I'm going to stick with what I'm good at!!

Hey Michael, let me know if you're interested in any other computers that don't work.  I've got a few I can sell you for far less than $4,500!

OOOO OOOOO OOOOO I actually have something to contribute here.

I have all Ryobi tools.

Table Saw
Radial Saw
Drill
Circular Saw
Sander
Vac
Flashlight

And only one charger. Anyone see what's wrong with this picture when the table saw is the ONLY A/C device?
I got a set of Ryobi hand tools like that on sale at Home Depot for like $98 bucks IIRC? Came with a carrying bag, two batteries, charger. I bought them to do a project at my old house. We built a 10 x 16 shed. I figured they were cheap, but I'd get enough usage out of them to get the building done. Man, I beat the hell out of those tools and they still work like new. Use them all the time. Countless home improvement tasks, use the drill as a hammer, left them all out in the rain on several occasions.

All still work like new. Had the set about 7 years now.

The only thing I goofed up on is I left the batteries in the garage a couple times in the winter and they froze. They don't hold a charge very well after that. I had them for years and they held a charge great until I left them out in the cold that time.

That Delta Industrial table saw I have is nothing special ... it's just a non-portable one with a little bigger table-top to handle bigger pieces easier. They sell them at all the chain stores. I kind of regret having it now because anything big I need to cut, I take the Ryobi circular saw to it, rather than dragging what I need to cut in the basement.

If you look you may see the kind of crap I deal with.....besides wise-guys lol.
You see I'm scrolled all the way down and there are no buttons to Post or Preview...
well there are no drop-downs to quote or any other functions.

That is this forum is for me....until I reload and reload...then it may load....but if it
does it may not for the following page and if it doesn't then I'm back to the CH out of the
thread.

Now I know people say it's this or that or the other thing....I don't care what it is because I deal with the bottome line. If it smells like sh*t....it's the same as to me.

That is exactly why I'm feeling like I'm on my last leg with this computer BS.

And also why you very seldom ever see my after I get off work. The work computer will at
least let me post.
It's also another reason I haven't and don't spend any time in the songs forum.

I know....try Chromedome, try Friedfox, try...try and try...spend that time and money boyz....what a joke.

I don't know how much of the problems are with what. There's so many
I don't have a clue...just like with X2....it could be anything.

I'm just waiting for a new PC. Stick with the saw Spacey, they're good for decades, not months. If I wasn't downsized I would be investing more in my tools and test equipment because I can't make money with X2, but I can make money with tools and test equipment.

If I was cutting wood all the time I'd invest in one of those safety saws. No matter how careful you are you can't plan for some of the weird stuff wood does when you cut it.

Now how can anybody argue with that? Exactly how I've been thinking.

I know my wife...it won't be long until she wants the kitchen custom rebuilt....I could spent 30 g's
or I could do it for MUCH less and probably better than paying somebody....at least as good.

I also want to build an amp cabinet. When I get ready I sure would like you to build the amp.
I'm talking a little low what "fun" amp. At least a 10" speaker...maybe 12".

I have absolutely no desire to try to make money with music...hard enough to make music LOL.

Hey Spacey,

I realize you're frustrated... but try to take a step back... and approach the situation without emotion.
A PC is just a machine...

Next go around, assemble a custom system... where you have control over exactly what gets installed.
Use quality components throughout...
I'm sure it sounds overly simple... but that gives you the greatest potential for success.
A DAW (PC) is the sum of its parts/configuration.
Use the best... and you'll have the best.
IMO, This is the strength of a "modular" structure.  You have complete control.

Best Regards,

That's exactly what I'm doing.

I already know if it comes to replacing the unit what I'll do and you will be hearing from me. That part
has been easy.

I'm thinking that this weekend is going to be very informative and resolve many uncertainties.
