What do you think of JRRshop?
I've ordered minimal stuff from them but recently ordered a Faderport 8 from them 9 days ago and have yet to get a tracking number, shipping info, etc...which I was informed I would get when the Faderport 8 shipped. I called JRRshop up and said it was being drop shipped directly from Presonus and "it was out of their hands" at this point. I then called Presonus, they wouldn't give me any info, because they said JRRshop is their "customer". Giving a chunk of cash to a vender and not hearing any updates, progress, ... is a little disturbing since we've gone over a week now from when they got payment. I will say I got a "gift certificate" from them, for the price difference between a Black Friday cost and a Sonar customer crossgrade to Studio One. That took about 4 days and 1/2 dozen emails, but they were nice enough to honor the difference, after the fact. Any rate...BOTH JRRshop and Presonus told me the only thing I can do at this point is the wait (on them). So ....how long to you give them? I realize a week+ isn't all that much time, but NO INFO from an online vendor seems a little out of line. Seems they could call PreSonus and get some sort of update.

Uncle E at JRRShop is utterly reliable at making good on problems.
However, his site experienced a near-extinction-level event beginning shortly before Black Friday and lasting for about a week. The company that hosted his business crashed and never came back up. He had to scramble to find a new host, get all the bits and pieces re-assembled, deal with more brokenness, and then probably got slammed by the pent-up customers who'd been waiting for him to get back up.
He's a KVR favorite and a regular there, and most of us have done tons of business with him for a long time. I've never, ever caught him in a lie or misrepresentation, and he bends over backwards to take care of you if something goes wrong.
If he says the issue at this juncture is at the Presonus end, you can take it to the bank. I haven't read anything saying that they're hung up, but wouldn't be surprised, considering the software and hardware promos they're currently running.

When I bought Studio One from them last week and didn't hear from them after a few days, I called them on the phone. A very friendly person answered and quickly looked up the status of my order. Have since received the license. I was pleased and impressed, and will do business with them again.

Yes I can also vouch, I've never had any issue with them at all. Haven't done that much business with them but when I have everything has always been 100% skookum.

I wonder how much of this is down to Presonus. I ordered Studio One Pro and Notion from JJR last week and was expecting my licenses almost instantly. I contacted JJR after a day and they said they were waiting on Presonus and that I should get the S1 license soon, but that the Notion license may take longer. It took about 2 days to get the S1 license through, but still no Notion license. I think S1 has been a favorite for many Sonarians so I imagine they have been snowed under with orders and that has probably put some stress on the system.
Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

I contacted JRRshop today to see if they could see what's going on in Baton Rouge (PreSonus). JRR replied fairly quickly...but apparently they were told it's inventory counting time and the item will ship when that is complete....however PreSonus didn't offer any estimated time frame, etc.

I understandkeeping you informed seems to be the least that they could do. They should be sending you updates everyday without you contacting them even if there is no news. There isn't anyone out there that is more reliable than JRR Shop. It's too badthiswould be an opportunity to leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Well PreSonus called me today after I posted in the PreSonus forums. The VP of marketing told me to email him. He then called today and said they didn't have any orders from JRRshop for me, but they have them in stock. Said he'd get back to me after calling JRRshop. BOTH JRRshop and Presonus have my order #, address, phone...etc. 8 business days later and a weekend without shipping is....eh.... PreSonus has yet to get back to me after a day of checking.
JRRshop hasn't bothered to follow up either. They only replied when I asked them what was going on...but didn't have any answers as what specifically was happening.
I'm not in a "life or death" hurry....but losing track of the order, no initiative on their ends.... Oh...btw I started a support 'ticket' with PreSonus...a week ago.... they gave me a ticket number...but it's empty in the description. So I have no idea what's going on with that either. You'd think musicians or "drummers" ran these companies :-D

Well I have the Studio One crossgrade in my shopping cart at JRR, but I'm waiting to see how this works out...still running the demo. Also have the crossgrade discount code for direct purchase from the PreSonus store. Never had any issues with JRR in the past. Maybe it's just the holiday sales rush, combined with the recent website issues, combined with the Sonar ex-pats placing an extra heavy load on them...

Just a "btw".... I got the crossgrade from JRR with no issues. This deal seems to be the only one running off the rails. After my payment, JRR had my serial # immediately and I was using the program within minutes after my purchase. This 2nd part of that purchase seems "katy_wompuss" ;-/ I'm admittedly not too fond of the lack of "effort" with all other parties, which should realize some time has now passed and the hardware hasn't even had a stamp put on it to ship. Will update...

I had a problem years ago where I bought the full version of Midi Quest from them. Three weeks passed and it still hadn't shipped. They told me that it was ordered from a third party, and they were having trouble getting it in. I asked for a refund and received it. Ordered other items, and never had a problem, so I didn't hold it against them.

Exact same story for me, I ordered a Faderport 8 at a great price, but the order still says "processing". I put in a polite request for a status update on their contact form 2 days ago but haven't heard anything yet. Luckily I'm out of town and won't need it for a week.
I've ordered software from there before, and they've been good about getting keys to me in under 24 hours, but this is my first time ordering hardware from them.

Overall I've had great experiences with them, but I ordered the new Softube plugin at the introductory price yesterday morning. They sent an email with a subject line saying that it had my serial number within an hour or less... But it only had the download link with no serial number to register. Emailed them back and waiting for a response. I'm sure they'll work it out, and hoping sooner than later.

I just got off the phone with JRR. Their support totally sucks. They haven't done anything since a week ago and said they are still waiting on PreSonus. They haven't responded to my emails (hence why I called them today) and they said they may just be overwhelmed and "picking away" at them. Why they would let open orders sit now for almost two weeks without offering any updates, is beyond me. Telling me just to wait isn't an update. You can be nice up to a point, but their phone call totally pissed me off today.
