Anyone remember Izal

As I recall, they supplied it in the crappers when I was at school.

Coarse grade sandpaper would have been softer, more absorbent, and altogether more efficient.

Yeah, but it made good tracing paper...

40-60 grit.  Oh, wait did I say that aloud?

Ever use Marathon tp? That's what it feels like.

Of course it has to be asked - does anybody remember when public toilets had those folded sheets of butt-wipe and those awful dispensers? You had to use multiple sheets to take care of business.

Then there's the opposite end of the spectrum with the stuff that's so soft it just shreds.

"I am Cornholio. I need tp for my bunghole" (obligatory Beavis & Butt-head reference)

Yes, I think I have.  It's probably what gave me the idea for the 40-60 sandpaper comment.  I'm not sure what's worse--coarse paper or separate little sheets.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

There is only the one true TP.  Valiant.  Strong.  Reliable.  Yet tender.  Gentle.  Coddling.

Charmin Ultra-Strong.  Cleanse with impunity!!

I've always thought the brand "Marathon" was particularly humorous.

I prefer Charmin - the Big rolls, not the Doubles and definitely not the Megas (which require extensions on your TP dispenser and don't roll freely).

Here's a guy who's prepared for anything (except he has the rolls on backwards - the part you grab should ALWAYS be in front):

What the best TP?....

Corncob

Care to explain?

Actually, no don't...

Ah, never grew up on a farm, did you young Jonbouy, hmmm? Used not the outhouse for disposal of bodily waste? Wasted not the dross from the swine feeding, we did.
Prepares you in your maturity for hemmorhoids or vindaloo, yes?

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the old Sears (or Montgomery Ward) catalogs (used for more than just reading on the ol' porcelain convenience).

True recycling.  Who knew that they were green back then?
