Janet Thanks Greg. I don't think that's exactly the right size It must be! McQ says they are all standard and 'parts is parts'....

Jonbouy Janet Thanks Greg. I don't think that's exactly the right size It must be! McQ says they are all standard and 'parts is parts'.... It's not a drum part, though. It came off a WalMart* hanging-plant A-frame. There were 4 in the kit, and since they didn't fit anything, one of them ended up in my pocket only to be discovered later while doing laundry.

Janet I'm not sure if it was "easily", "find", or "part" that was solved or not. :)

Jonbouy spacey Janet I'm not sure if it was "easily", "find", or "part" that was solved or not. :) I'd say all three. Just Like This!!! or this! Ahhhh....and all the other parts too. That's a good thang. My X1D came with all the stands and drums too. The part I'm missing is how to work those sticks.

Oh, the sticks are FUN!!! :) I need some sort of glue to keep them in my hands better, though.

The part I'm missing is how to work those sticks. you should share that with the rest of us non-drummers when you figure that out! Most everything I've done I've use Drums On Demand. I think it's the expensive way to go but.... Midi drum programming makes me NUTS so the cost for "real" sound .wav files is cheaper in the long haul. I haven't tried the multi-track versions. Wasn't that serious about final product.

I'm not a drummer and I know what it sounds like when a good drummer plays something, but I struggle a lot trying to pick patterns and fills on my own songs. That is another reason I chose Drums On Demand. You may want to check them out. I recommend them to you since it seems we share the same midi frustrations.

Well, I must say it's way more fun playing them than trying to get them to sound right in a composition. :( And I don't even sound all that great live, I'm sure. But it's fun to have something to bang on besides the backs of chairs. :)

I'm afraid no cowbell. I don't even use the cymbals all that well. I need a few cymbal lessons first I think. :)

Update: Finally called the Pearl Co. (no email address for customer support. Weird). They gave me the parts numbers and told me to call a dealer. Did that and he called the Pearl Co. Weird too, but oh well. lol They said they've got the bushing and will try to find the wing nuts, etc. And the best thing is that it's free! :)

They will only offer that kind of support via a dealer, it might seem weird in these days of most things being eCommerce but it's what keeps their international dealer network operational. It also preserves the idea of 'a store near you'. Glad you got sorted out.

True. Although the nearest store to me is one hour away. :) But I do get the point. Except that the parts in this case are free anyway. lol

Jim the Pearl UK rep I used to deal with was an industry legend, a real pleasure to do business with. They've centralised their European operation now so it's different but they are a cool company as the free replacement parts seem to still bear testimony to.

AND because I live in the middle of nowhere. (nevermind the fact that thousands of tourists come here every summer to hang out at the lake...or stay in their or someone else's mansions or condos or fishin' shacks or whatever.) And even though I'd hardly heard of Pearl till 2 days ago, definitely a cool company! :)
