John's always tried to help me when needed. I hope everything is alright with him and his.
What I think is that he's kicked back waiting for X1 so he can determine
what he think's about it. At least that's what I like to think.

I've been reading some old posts. Looks like things got heated there for a while with John and a few other regulars and they all seem to have fell off the face of the earth.
Not that that's a bad thing always. Sometimes people get too big for their britches.

Yea, there are several folks we haven't seen in a while but who, like Strike above, do eventually pop in. But ol John is usually in on just about everything and is a very frequent poster. I sure hope he's just on a nice vacation or something but to be honest I'm a bit concerned.

I think he's trying to prove a point and it backfired on him.

I never see posts by them anymore and they used to be regulars here all the time.
Now, I would REALLY be worried if I saw 30 minutes go by without a post from Bapu from the coffee house. He must have his eyelids stapled open with a caffeine drip in his arm. The guy is always here. Is he even real? He may be a bot! :)
I'm sure John will show up eventually. There's a lot of people here who knew him and if something bad happened, I'm sure someone would have said so by now. :)

LOL! I typed a nice long explanatory response, then I proofread it and said, man that's just too damn long so here's the short version. :) No I'm not John, or anyone you mentioned. I'm not a power poster ... Unfortunately my days are free lately and I've been hanging out here participating and reading old posts more than I ever had time for in the past. When the 'Where's John' thread came up, I read some of his old posts to see when he posted last. I found a thread where he said Cakewalk would suffer if he and some others stopped helping on the forum. I put two and two together and came up with maybe he and others are trying to prove a point by 'not' being here? Seems to be backfiring if that's the case since the forum hasn't shut down from lack of posts. :) Hey, it's no more of a half baked theory than you thinking I'm him, or alien abductions. :) btw ... it's against forum policy to have more than one user name. "Impersonating Other Users, Accessing Another User's Account, Holding Multiple Usernames You may not impersonate another forum member. You're not supposed to have 2 user names simultaneously according to the TOS.
But you can ditch a user name leaving all the posts associated with it and start a new user name with a post count of zero.
I remember Marah did that when she got to 1000 posts or something like that. Actually that's someone who hasn't been around for a while either.
