I've got some FET Transistors here, lucky me. So I took the + and - and connected them to a usb cable and connected the usb cable to the PC. To ensure this would help I changed the FET name to FAT and now my sound is way fatter....

Computer starts to smell funny, anyone (f)tried this too?

I have completely disassembled an 1176 plugin and couldn't find a FET in there anywhere. Did I get ripped off?

I stood on a football pitch last nite 'til I got completely saturated by the rain.

Is that the field effect you are after?

Try it it's very cathartic.

I think within DSP code that FET might mean Faeries Emulating Technology.

and that is, the Studer 800 by UAD

Thanks Danny, I needed more GAS...you enabler, laff.
That has to be the coolest looking plug I have ever seen and after looking at all the UAD hardware... man.. It looks like great gear.

I am dreaming up a desktop system (Studiocat) to buy early next spring and I think a UAD Quad should be part of it and the Studer A800 plug too.

Thanks for your posts they are always good

LOL sorry about that brother. I've been told I cost people lots of money. :) Yeah it truly is great gear...you'll see if you get it. Oh definitely get a studio cat rig bro, even his most inexpensive rig would be a treat to record with because he sets the stuff up so perfect. It's like, finally a box made for Sonar that works without a hitch. :) You're welcome, thanks for the kind words...glad you enjoy the posts. Best of luck man!

But isn't the Native Instruments NOT a separate usable VST?? I thought it was "tied" to GuitarRig 4??

They're now selling a compressor bundle separately (got the e-mail announcement yesterday I think.). It's something NI almost systematically does - take components from existing plug-ins, repackage them and sell them individually. ;)

The new compressors do require Guitar Rig 4 or Guitar Rig Free.

Oops. Didn't read the fine prints. My bad.
Still... I'd be tempted to say let's wait and see how long before they are sold separately. ;)
