Who's Going to Contribute to the Tip Jar?

It will be interesting to see how many people who said they'd be willing to pay to keep Sonar going will do so now that there's an option to do so.

I'm feeling the need for a mug myself

I felt badly that I couldn't do so right now but I proceeded hoping that I can do so at a later time.

Here's hoping Meng decides to keep that option available!

BTW I'm also very pleased with the use of the name Cakewalk. I much preferred that to Sonar when they changed company name from the cool Twelve Tones name...

You can donate as little as 1 dollar. I am guessing that would not break the bank? :)
Guess you were talking about the mug reward thing though.

I sprung for the T-Shirt plus Mug.  But it didn't give me a chance to select which T-Shirt or mug?

I cant afford to right now, but will wait and see how things pan out in the next few months with BandLab and also see what Studio One 4 has to offer when it`s released. All being well and I`m personally satisfied with how the new Cakewalk DAW is turning out in terms of bug fixes and stability improvements, I will definitely make yearly contributions of a typical yearly upgrade of around $149. All in all so far, the BandLab team have been pretty amazing.

I tried to make a contribution yesterday, but I realized that it does not accept PayPal ... Unfortunately, at the moment, PayPal is my only alternative to make international payments ...
In a few days I will receive my new international card, so I will certainly make the contribution.

Good luck with that one!

I'm down with the tip jar, but frankly I think my local animal shelter could use a $999 donation more than a commercial audio company.

Would give $49 dollars for a Mug thrown in but Customs would probably charge me the same again plus  VAT so it would be a pretty expensive Mug.

That depends on whether or not your country has a free trade agreement with the country sending the mugs. If you could find out which country they ship from, you could find out if you'll have to pay excessive duties or not.

I'll donate once bandlab puts the stereo interleave and phase buttons back on the track view and shows that they want to bring cakewalk back to being a professional product like it was before the X series and all the garbage that's been done to the program since that.

And please tell me that Bandlab didn't bring the imbecile over to the new company who was responsible for removing the phase and stereo interleave buttons.  That guy should have been fired the day X1 debuted.

My equipment: A Commodore 64, 2 1541 Disk Drives, Dr T's Music Studio and a Casiotone CT-460.

I have no problem dropping some money on a program that I use. Even 200.00 a year is cheap. Used to pay that much just to get the guy to set up the drum mics and take care of phase issues in the studio.

The re-release is like having a mate that went through rehab, and now I'm just waiting to see if everything works out.

The new PRV color change is a great start.

A deep chesty bawl echoes from rimrock to rimrock, rolls down the mountain, and fades into the far blackness of the night. It is an outburst of wild defiant sorrow, and of contempt for all the adversities of the world. - Aldo Leopold

I decided to go for the $99 tip for T-shirt and mug. I pressed the radio button choosing the $99 tip for Tshirt and mug.
The system was quick to take my money, I was given no choice over T-shirt style or size or the mug. At this stage I’m not even sure if I’m going to be charged shipping because I had no choice to cancel the order like you usually do once shipping fees are confirmed.

Got an email confirming I gave a tip but it says the reward is Undedined.
