It really would be interesting to know how many copies sell at the final price over the next year. I wish you all the luck in the world but I don't think the current market will bare that kind of pricing.

I have to see how this one plays out (price wise ) I only have one 64 bit computer w X3 on it ... Some Ducks do have it pretty good and like hearing that phrase  I think I already know what costume I'm gonna wear this Halloween   Kenny

Thanks for the link Bapu. I'm still on the fence about canceling my boxed set order with Sweetwater and only have a few days left. Seeing this real world behavior in Sonar is like the little shove I needed to land on the right side of the fence. It's beginning to seem, not only pointless, but like a big PITA to put ST3 on my working systems.

I'm sure support will weigh in and have a fix soon. I understand you may have only a few days left and yes that puts you in a tough spot. Would be less tough if ordered through us or was the digital download as I could likely just deal with that directly but I don't have much influence over Sweetwater sadly. [Edit - and yes this is a reason I do wish we had also had the boxed on preorder ourselves, but that wasn't my call]

As I posted in the thread above, the problem only happens for me with VST3, not VST2, and others have posted similar behavior. So I actually already posted the (potential) workaround before your post. :)
Curious to see if anyone is having this problem with VST2.

Glad to see IK weighing in, I hope there's a solution soon. I raised a ticket with IK UK.
My issues in Sonar using a simple test project with just eight notes:
- Pressing play, some of the notes sound, some don't. Replaying, different notes play and those that did play first time don't now.
- Clicking on a note it sounds continuously until I press play and stop.
I'm using VST3 but I don't see why I should install the VST2 version, unless it's just for a temporary work around.
It seems to me there could not have been a beta tester using Sonar X3?
ST3 works perfectly in Studio One 2 which I have on the same PC, which is well spec'd, see signature below.

The vst3 version and standalone have a couple of issues. I don't seem to get this bug with VST 2.

I've raised the issue at very least for a good post mortem requesting more testing with Sonar to avoid issues like this in the future. There may be some back and forth here on this forum, but please know that I'm doing my best to bring your specific needs to the right people when I can do so and making those issues and needs land squarely on their radar. I hope it helps, I'm trying to be both constructive and realistic as I do, and hope that internally we learn something from each release and in this case that we learn to give more attention to Sonar based on your experience and your feedback here.

There are a few VST3 Issues in X3. Several synths in the Arturia V collection crash X3 if you use the VST3 versions but the VST2 works fine.
I avoid VST3 now if I have a choice.

"Thanks for your enquiry.
All of the issues being reported in the forums are being fed back to our Development team so that they can be incorporated in the next maintenance release. They are trying to correct these issues as quickly as possible."

Some were, many are very impressed with the sounds and features. Many thousands installed, some are not satisfied and have reported such so we can make improvements as necessary and some are very happy too and have relayed their thoughts too. This is not atypical of any release, I look forward to the evolution of SampleTank 3 and hope that there are fixes for any CW-related issue pronto for anybody here that is experiencing those issues.

The guy selling was a total GAS buyer. Maybe my expectations are just more realistic than most. I did not buy Sampletank to obtain great solo instruments. I find even my dimension pro sounds are better for solo work for the most part. Where sampletank has always shined in my opinion is the ability to assemble multiple instruments quickly that sit in mix well. I know grammy winning producers and engineers who have used it for just that reason. The sounds are not for everybody like every other product but I am liking it so far despite a few glitches like the vst3 issue. I think importimg libraries could be a little smoother but that's nitpicky

Yes, he states that it was GAS that got him in his sale thread and we're happy that someone excited about SampleTank 3 was able to get a great deal on it from him.
I do know that the specific issues people here are having have been brought to the attention of the team and I hope to see some forward progress for you in a short time. Thank you for your patience with any issues you may have run into.

I keep reminding myself to focus on other stuff, while I wait for my boxed version, like yorolpal. I hope to hear from Sweetwater soon, about it being shipped. Maybe I don't mind waiting, while IK tackles the issues.

Hopefully IK can confirm or deny this but I read somewhere that it could now be 2nd half of Aug. for the boxed sets. I have no real data to back this up so I do hope IK will stop in and give us a better idea. Makes no difference either way, I would rather have it right than rushed.
