Bub, it's funny that you mention Hot Dog Johnny's.! I was just on FB where the topic was what's the name of that great hot dog joint on on Rt. 46! Those were the days ..... My family still lives in NJ. Bapsy ... Yes the hot dog king has secret sauce and you can buy just the sause to take home, yet as the picture shows, you must bow down to the king! or they may not serve you

I don't think I've been in Buttzville, but I've been in that neck of the woods on my way to do some rafting/canoeing on the Delaware River.
It seemed like a nice, scenic, rural area all those years ago.

Snooki was made famous from the reality tv show - Jersey shore - about some losers who party - drink - work out and have sex - and make a lot of money from filming it - aka - Jersey Shore TV show if new jersey allows this - there is no way they can have good hot dogs pic of snooki below - she makes paris hilton look brilliant

I'm sorry Mooch, but I was raised in NJ (Unfortunately) So I can say New Jersey really is for the Dog's .... Snookie... need I say more ... BTW, Chicago Dogs really are the best .. and I didn't know what a Snookie was either till my daughter had me watch that show once!

It still is. I'd love to move back home, but it's too expensive to live there now. Which is good in a way. Keeps out undesirables. They can have Newark and Camden. If you went canoeing near Buttsville, you probably went across the bridge in to Riverton PA (through Belvidere) to the place with the old school buses sitting along the road. That's the only place I know of until you get up in to the Delaware Water Gap, next is way up in Milford PA. I used to service all the cash registers for Kitattinny Canoe's and Johnny's Hot Dog Stand. Sorry, I'm rambling on. I'm a little home sick. My wife may have to go to NJ this fall for work. If so I'm going with her. Can't wait to see my family and friends. Hell, I may even pop in and see Mr. Danzi and see if he'll let me buy him a beer. I'll be in his area. Doh! :)

I whole-heartedly agree with you, Mooch. I don't have any use at all for that crew that claims to be from the Jersey shore. I suspect that they're transplants from New York. Nothing wrong with that per se, just don't claim to be from NJ. Sorry about aiding and abetting the hijack.

My memory is coming back a little--it's been more than 30 years since I moved from NJ. I think I was in the Buttzville area to go to Bud Lake, Lake Hopatcong, and I occasionally went to the Stanhope House to catch some music. They used to get some good bands in there. I can't remember now exactly the route I took, but I went white water rafting on the Lehigh river in PA. It may have taken me through the Buttzville area, but I won't put money on it. Most of the other rafting and canoeing was on the Delaware, but we usually went up to Port Jervis, NY. Now I'm getting homesick.
