Why do threads disappear?

So...on more than one occasion I've had threads disappear.  Just moments ago I posted a problem and received wonderful help from somebody on the forum.  Replied to update and thank, and change the title of the thread to reflect it being solved, and suddenly poof away goes the thread.

What is going on, am I cursed or is there some kind of crazy-sensitive, overly aggressive auto-spam filter on the forum???

Grrr.....thanks guys.    The latest must have been from me editing. I was trying to do the right thing by correcting a typo and then also going back and editing the title to say "Resolved".    No more of that in the future!

Exactly, I have also had threads disappearing if I, after creating the thread, edit the title of the thread...

I often bring back posts from the spam filter's purgatory (trust me, it's a small price to pay for not being subjected to ads for kitchen appliances, streaming sports events, and marital aids), but I don't think the spam filters can remove entire threads.
