Sorry, I can't help. Just got the bugs worked out of Wife 1.0, which surprisingly enough opened up the multi port function. Plus I'm pretty sure there is not enough room on my hard drive now to install wife2.0...good luck.

Once mine got a hold of the X1 Expanded version, I was out of the picture.

hmmm Not a good idea, but if you do show her this thread let us know who put who in their place. If you resolve this issue please post your solution as many people here seem to have the same problem.

If you purchase a crossgrade it is less likely the same drivers will be used. Thus no conflicts.

This means both can co-exist without the need for either to be aware of the other.

And it is likely w2 will be quicker. But will require a break-in period, and a few service packs, to assure maximum performance.

The extra hardware (house/apartment,...), and multitasking/timeslice allocation on your part, may prove expensive and exhausting.

But, uninstalling w1.634 may result in never ending support requests.

So the decision to simultaneously use both may be the best way to go.

If the op could afford the additional hardware he could afford Zeta and avoid the whole mess. but you raise some interesting solutions and I agree with your assessment. There is nothing worse than dealing with additional support requests.
