Betty was hotter than Wilma, but she was overly protective of her dangerous juvenile delinquent son, and less emotionally stable. So Wilma, definitely. Plus, Wilma was modeled after Alice Kramden, who I always thought was the brains of that outfit.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Betty all the way. She was way hotter and Wilma's winey voice would drive me crazy!

But Wilma did cook up some big 'ol mammoth ribs. Hmm...

Betty, for the simple reason Wilma practiced horrific personal hygiene. Don't ask me how I know this. I promised not to speak of it, but it's been awhile now. Trust me on this one.

Wilma for sure. Don't know about the hygiene issue( don't wanna), but considering my real-life partner is kind of like Wilma, I think I'm consistent.

    Neither, but thanks anyway!

OK Janet, given the choice, would it be Fred or Barney?

wrt to the original question ... I have been happily married for 20 years now so this is strictly hypothetical, I would go with Maryanne Betty (cartoon version only!).

If you are talking about the movie version, Betty was played by Rosie O'Donnell which is a frightening thought.

Randy, I've heard about those personal hygiene issues too.

    ok - current tally:

    Betty:  5
    Wilma: 4

Well, Beag, I'll have to go for Betty.  She doesn't seem to be quite as "sharp" as Wilma, maybe a little less formal.  I might be able to get away with a couple more things with her.  LOL!!
