Win 10 lost interface outputs?

Running Win10 pro 64 bit, SPlat, with a MOTU 828 mk3 Hybrid, interface.  I understand that this is not a Cakewalk problem but you guys have the best insight I have found on the interweb. Anybody's time spent would be so very appreciated.
Windows audio a few days ago stopped recognizing the MOTU's main outs as options for playback sources. ( not recognized in record either).  In Cuemix  (MOTU's software) I cant seem to get the 'focus' tab to engage on any outputs, and the trim or actually all knobs to all channels reset to full counterclockwise position if the GUI is minimized or exited from. Sonar still sees the main outs as an option and does appear to work ok other than the knob reset problem as so I am unable to use the MOTU's trim function on any channel. Also the MOTU main outs do not show up in Win10 device manager, all the other  I/O's do though. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, repaired the software and drivers, rebooted o so many times, with the MOTU connected and without. In Sonar everything seems to work fine except for the problems with the GUI and the trim, but I use the interface for audio from windows as well and really thought it was a perfect world until... Again any insight or suggestions\advice would be so very appreciated.

Is it possible that a Windows update has clobbered the drivers.

First thing I would try is do download the latest drivers (if you have not already).

    http://cdn-data.motu.com/downloads/audio/MAI_Win_66814.zip

Also, I would try a firmware update (if you have not already)

    https://s3.amazonaws.com/motu-data/downloads/audio/828mk3h101_win.zip

    Windows 10 64bit fully patched, 16 gig ram .
    PCR-800 Controller.  (Working in Win 10 1809 64bit)
    CPU: i5 4670.
    Video: Nvidia GTX560ti (latest drivers).
Audio IF: Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen

    Internet always on.

What he said. Win10 doesn't like legacy gear. When I had m-audio fw 1814, I had a folder with the m-audio driver and the legacy 1394 driver. Had to run one or both after an update. And be sure to disable any hdaudio drivers ms or nvidia hits you with…

Have you tried the latest drivers and swapping between Firewire and USB?

Thanks so much for the help!
I have tried the latest motu diver instal and factory reset and firmware update still with no glory. The knob rest problem is the most aggravating, I can workaround the absence of main outs, windows recognizes other outs, really haven't got windows to use them yet though, still trying to figure that one out, but SPlat uses the main outs just fine. Actually to play my keyboard that are routed through the motu, I have to have sonar open, even if it's a standalone midi synth. Just weird, not a cheap interface either...just sayin...

I don't currently have a FireWire card that will fit this PC, (I have one with TI chips but it doesn't fit this Dell motherboard) so that suggestion I've not tried. All the outputs seem to work with the headphones but I guess windows has no control over them?

Has a Windows update re-enabled your onboard sound chip & driver, making it the default and not allowing the MOTU to be used?

I would check what Bristol_Jonesey suggests and if it is not that you would be best to contact Motu because it maybe an issue with the unit.

Do you have any other audio software installed that you can test with?
