Personally I found Eli Ktantzberg's series on groove3 really good. If you're not on groove3 you can buy it for $20 and have it locally playable.

Yeah, I do have a G3 account. I really like Eli's tutorials and just watched some of the free samples of EZ Keys....very good indeed. Not sure if I want to buy this EZ Keys tutorial as there doesn't seem to be a lot of content (9 vids).....or are the others worth it?

I still have to finish watching the Kontakt tutorial...

For $20 you get just about an hour of tut from Eli.

So far in two parts of Toontrack's vid you got less than 5 minutes.

Only you can decide if free is worth it/gudonov.

I will buy Eli's tut in the next few days and will be glad to get another view from the Toontrack vids. I think I have enough Toontrack Bozo Bucks to pay the $20. Even if you don't have a All Access Pass the first 2 Groove3 vids in the package are available as demos and are really worth watching. If I have the product and Eli does a video on it that's about all I need to get it. I may have even picked up a video before I got the product once.

I'm specifically meaning Eli's "Writing with EZKeys" series. I got the original when it first came out and it helped to "navigate" the instrument.

Every spoonful of sugar in that tutorial on EZ Keys from Eli is another idea where you get something to take away and potentially use.  Not long overall, but a real thought starter.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

It's always some sort of a hybrid situation (2B (with) or 2B (without)).....however, there seems to be a high demand for vintage "gear".

Got "Songwriting with EZKeys" for $3.33 as it's already on sale for $20 instead of $25 (list) at Groove3 and the Toontrack promo indeed takes off another 33%. Then I saw that Groove3 poured $10 worth of credits into the account I once registered when Larry found us some free months of Groove3 access, so I used that. Nice.

I saw Clints post, went to Toontrk and got the discount, and picked up two videos. I am almost through with the first one (was watching it while installing all my stuff) which is about getting to know EZKeys. Found out a lout about what I had been missing. I am impressed enough that I might get the monthly deal for a while and pick up on other stuff.

Hi Eli,

I have Real Guitar and I've just been getting into the song arranger portion (for strumming).

BTW I found your EZKeys writing series to be an excellent eye opener for me and I've been using EZKeys since it came out.

The reason I am asking about RealGuitar is because I just finished a series on it (it'll be released on groove3 shortly). And I find it, like EZ Keys, to be a great songwriting tool. Of course if you play guitar it will be of less use :-) But as a non guitar player, I am surprised at what this plug-in can do. I haven't heard a lot of "buzz" about it on the various forums. So was just curious about who is using it.....

Anyway, thanks again to all of you for your support!

The thing I like about EZ Keys is it helps me approach songs from a different angle  and that's a valuable thing. If some guitar software could do that I would be willing to look at it. I'll check it out.

I think on this board, more of us would be interested in the AAS GS2 Strum product, largely because an intro version is packaged with Sonar.

I do play guitar, but don't have a nylon string guitar.  I had been messing around with some flamenco style chords and came up with a cool rhythm, but that was purely on accident.  If I started with an idea in my head, I don't know if I could translate that easily into patterns on Strum.
