Scroll to bottom of page - looks like August

At first I thought this was another one of "those" threads, but this is fantastic news.

And it looks like they have even more goodies planned throughout the year.

+1 for this announcement. I'm a fairly new Sonar user (about 3 months), and so i don't know if it's usual for CW to be so responsive to suggestions, pleas and prayers made known on the forum...either way, it's very nice to see, and definitely a huge change from what i was used to in terms of the previous DAW that i used.

    Regards

"Our most popular version of Sonar ever!" - Congrats Cakewalk

The Summer of SONAR X1 has arrived...and it's just the beginning
As we head towards the midway point of 2011, SONAR X1 is in full force. It has received critical-acclaim from the music industry and has been our most popular version of SONAR ever! So what’s in store for SONAR X1? The short answer is A LOT.

This has me a little anxious... and not necesarily in a good way.

    And it's just the beginning

And that is just the summer! We have even more exciting news in the works for SONAR X1 through the rest of 2011 - so stay tuned! Cakewalk is expanding on what you might expect from SONAR and breaking from tradition to make SONAR X1 very simply the best DAW in the industry.

Kind of anxious in a way that this Analog Industries thread discusses...

Analog Industries - "The End is Nigh..."

Not sure how much more "modernization" I can handle from Cakewalk and Sonar. It seems as if they're starting to cater more to amateur and DJ production values than audio professionals.

And this is a little much for me, at least right now. Really hope we're not headed in this direction just yet... http://youtu.be/bCC9uHHAEuA?hd=1
