Will the download file for this include X3a/b, or just the latest updates? I need to plan my bandwidth usage this month... Thanks.

After looking in from time to time this last year or two, this last month has been so much better on the forums. The gentler, more helpful(maybe gentler is in this), and overall feel of the forums have been so much nicer. Its a pleasure to skim read many of the subjects that yield answers for questions I would have asked in the future. b-marked a lot of them. Also the feedbacks from the Cakewalk folks seems to be a lot more active and helpful. This really helps put them more on my future list for very important parts of my music. This X3c update coming is great news also, even tho am newbie... Thank you to all the forum members, and also the Cakewalk staff.

Yeah, I read that somewhere too! And I'm really excited about this. The X-series have been really cool on my system. X2 was great but X3 seems to be slightly more stable and a whole lot more snappier and solid. Whatever this patch improves, it'll be great. If the video feature get's a do over I can't wait to start using it!

Just read the official announcement.. these are my favorite parts: ...this update focuses on direct “wish list” feedback and suggestions for functional enhancements from Cakewalk customers. In addition, SONAR X3c will include support for Windows 8.1.
Cakewalk’s Director of Products George Persiantsev states, “SONAR X3’s exceptional stability out of the gate means that we can now concentrate on addressing direct feedback from our users—basically the best ‘focus group’ in the world—to take SONAR’s workflow even further.

Am I the only that thinks: 1)Cake had a good vision for the future, but it took a little longer than customers were ready/patient for? 2)The Roland actually hampered Cake's ability to do business?

Video features are getting some love but not in the X3C update, the A patch turned into a B which turned into a C...... Just one of the reasons we try not to promise things for specific releases, things are always in a state of flux.

At what point is development on X3 patches shelved for development of X4? Some developers have 6 month support schedules, some developers won't tell you anything. X3a was release, X3b and X3c were already being talked about upon release. will there be a X3d, e, etc if needed? just curious, not complaining. X3a has been a really good release for me so far, I'm happy.
