Lovely vocals, specially the energy when the melody went up! Really nice warm smooth jazz feeling. This kind of "naked" version with only lead vocal and guitar are the hardest to make a descent version of, and you nailed it!

I haven't heard that song for quite a while. I learned it with slightly different changes in the bridge. You nailed the vibe of the song. I enjoyed that very much.

Thanks Jonas. I have no idea what the changes are (or should be). I've played it a lot of times, just can never remember the changes. I have a chord sheet from BIAB. Glad you're familiar with the song. It's one of my all time favs.

First day in a long time where I've taken the time to browse the music in here..... I'm glad I dropped in on this one.

Outstanding job.

I could see this in a movie scene..... where the guy, who just lost his girl over a dumb arguement, walks into this little hole in the wall club on a cold rainy night to buy a drink....and the bar is just about empty save the bartender, and a couple of regulars, and of course, the musician (you) with his guitar on a dimly lit stage....  totally engrossed in this song..... a zen moment....

Nice.

Very nice Tim.  Your vocal phrasing is reminding me of Gino Vannelli big time on this one.  I wish I could play jazz guitar like that.

Thanks Geno. That's interesting about Gino Vannelli. I enjoyed his music a lot back in the day. Maybe something rubbed off.  He has a lot of range (as do you) that I wish I had. You can learn to play "jazz guitar". Pretty hard to learn to have an incredible voice Like GV.

Thanks Pat. You're very talented probably.

Sorry I missed this the first time around... Love it for sure.

As I've been putting together my solo act this winter.. I have over a set of this kind of stuff... old jazz and big band standards.  I've loved this stuff since I was small... and more and more as I get older.  A phrase I coined years ago applies here... "Songs from when music was popular."
