Rich - Thanks for listening! Tim - Thank you. I try to make the drums not sound too programmed by playing the PadKontrol. Warren - Thank you very much! Vicenta - thank you! BretB - thanks for listening alkei - Thanks for listening and comenting. No How - Thank you! The synth you are refering to is probably a strat. I've got a tremelo + envelope generator on it. The only keyboard driven instrument in the song is the B4 organ.

Oh, man, that is way cool. Love it. Must be some potent tremelo as none of the initial attack seems to diminish. Very good! Those little creative experiments really take it up a notch....so it went from a 10 to an 11 :)

Yeah that was one of those experiments using the effects in PODFarm. I've got the tremelo sync'd with Sonar's tempo. Sometimes it would play in-time, other times it would be slightly behind the beat. I had to Freeze the track to keep it consistently in synq. Someone else mentioned they thought it should be louder, so I kicked that track up about 1.5db a couple days ago.

Geno, awesome production! And compliments to the vocalist for sure - love the energy of the last bar :) As for the song, I was expecting the fast rhythm to break out at any moment, but it never came. You can definitely smoothen the rhythm out and speed it up to make it a real candy. But even as is - good stuff, man!

Hey, Geno, Wow, this is a really powerful, full sounding piece of progressive rock at it's finest! Excellent writing, fantastic performance, and spectacular vocals and guitar playing. I really love the amazing tone during the very tasty guitar solo, and how your arrangement was full of interesting changeups and surprises, and also your production work is truly outstanding. The new drums sound painstakingly perfect on this. That's really a masterpiece, buddy, nice work! Bob

Perfectly Seasoned hot rock with modernizations! Jamming is astonishing and top shelf. As the song progresses, things sound better and better. I love the lead guitar and classic rock vox.

Only on the lappy, so can't always tell with mixes, but it's hard to imagine that it could sound much better anyway. Love the section up to 1:00 in particular. Just like the catchy simplicity of stuff like that.

radio - thanks man. No matter how hard I try I can't fool the real drummers! Actually I play most of those fills live using a padkontrol, but it is not a real drum set with sticks. And I only play with two fingers at a time... cian - thanks for your comments. I really like your stuff too. kev - thanks for listening and commenting! BIABDude - thank you! jsaras - thanks for your comments! I'm just using the stock set that came with SuperiorDrummer 2.0. I haven't gotten any expansion kits yet (I'm waiting for them to go on sale!). I just uploaded a new version - I changed my Kick and Bass EQ's. Previously I was boosting the mids on the bass which was crowding the vocals I think. However, now I think I'm a bit heavy on the low frequencies. jsaras - if you happen to see this and have time could you check this out? I don't have a good reference speaker setup. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10389337 paulo - Thanks for your comments!

You definitely do not have an excessive amount of bass or kick. If anything, I think the bass guitar could come up a bit so that the fundamental tone speaks out a bit more.

jsaras - thanks for the tips!!! The fundamentals in the bass are down at 80hz. Yesterday I had this fequency boosted and it seemed too much so I dialed it down. I'm glad you mentioned the fundamental because I noticed that my HPF was starting to pull 80hz down. I moved the Highpass freq down - so the fundamental is a little louder. I also lowered the Highpass on the kick because it was also cutting into the Kick's thud around 50hz. So now both Kick and Bass should have stonger fundamentals. I uploaded a new version. Thanks for your help. I'm so paranoid about low frequencies. A couple years ago I must have damaged my right ear. If my lows are too pronounced or out of balanced, I get this low ringing in my right ear that can last a while. Commercial recordings never do anything to my ear, only my own stuff. I used to mix real heavy in the lows and I think that's what damaged my ear. Yesterday after I boosted 80hz my ear was ringing. That's why I backed it down.

I haven't listened to your new mix? But the last was "pro... all the way around?" But I know what you're doing/talking about? WRT remixing... Listening over and over and over... And adjusting, tweaking, etc... Your stuff is pro quality 1st time, and after, so your mods are always polishing the diamond IMO.
