I have on occasion inserted an eq on the track next to the track I want to eq and wonder why I don't hear any changes.

I have a hardware switch on my midi device to switch between "midi thru" and "usb" . . . I have many times cursed the "damn software" for not working properly, only to realize it's the hardware switch that needs to be adjusted. (I miss Alex too ?)

Ins and Outs on the patch bay, the jacks are right on top of each other - countless hours of signal path troubleshooting what's obviously a properly wired up chain... Doh!!

More than guilty of everything mentioned. I'm still going through it. But it's more fun than being in a band in the '80s, lol.

Yikes ! . . . the 80's . . . magnetic tape, cassettes, dolby C, demagnetizing, record labels, publishing deals, copyright lawyers, big hair . . . No Sonar . . . let's not go there.

TPayton My favorite is EQing a track to perfection, and sitting back listening in satisfaction to my tweaks and improvements. Then later finding out the EQ was bypassed the whole time.
It's great to be an idiot :) Just couldn't stop laughing (at myself). I happened to be eq-ing track 1 which was soloed with my vs700 controller.....whilst all the time it was track 2's eq that was in focus. Not only did I NOT eq track1, at the same time I messed up track 2's settings.

I would grab the mouse and wonder why the cursor didn't move. It was my phone. (Finally) getting the smart phone fixed that for me. I still grab it but I know what it is right away.

Spending the morning putting some EQ on several buses. All sounds good. The grand kids come to visit, and I forget to lock the door on my studio. Come back later to find every knob and slider on my Mackie changed and Sonar, just a happy camper, recording all of this, over my previous efforts. It would have been easier to recover if my granddaughter hadn't unplugged every cable she could get her sticky little fingers on. I still love my grandchildren, but sometimes it tests my endurance.

This thread is a barrel of laughs and brings back many "F Sonar" moments when it should of been "F me!!!" Aside from all of the above, my one persistent fopa is forgetting to turn down/disable the phantom power on my lovely E100S and next time have it blasting feedback thru my monitors when I've switched from headphones... I usually end my sessions in the weeee hours long after my brain is fried and can't seem to avoid this particular "F'n A" moment...

I am usually plagued with interruptions while I am trying to work on music and often break off in the middle of editing something. When I return I have forgotten exactly what it was I was working on and move on to something else. This inevitably results in various unfinished parts within a project or things that don't quite work as intended. I always end up doing a lot of fixing in the later stages.

Hard to be more stupid like me: I´m learning some very useful Sonar shortcuts like ctrl to move all fader aso at once and find myself often in moving every fader solo.
