I wanna see what sweetner they'll give to sonar users.. and/ or will they give a decent deal to previous owners who got it standalone before getting sonar.. and a decent try before you buy demo version of it on release  ... like all the other synth makers I buy off do.

I was kinda hopin' they would fix up Session Drummer 3. Seems to me more people would get more mileage and good use out of an update to it than Z3ta.

I have never even opened session drummer 3. I've only opened Z3ta once and ended up not using it. It's cool to play with, especially as a VST on a guitar, but it doesn't fit in to my style of music. You would think they would tweak SD3 a little more to be more like the competition, especially since it's a money maker ... with all the kit's you can add to it.

Sounds like the special deal would be for X1, I guess the upgrade costs 8.5>X1 is what covers them providing free updates like this. I'm new to Cakewalk software so they may be extremely generous and all of their customers get the special deal.

When the next version of Sonar comes out... will z3ta+2 be included for free?
Either way, I'm excited about this. I used z3ta+ all the time years ago but I got tired of it. It's still one of the best synths IMO.

Since it is a new synth, I doubt they would include it for free. But who knows until we see how much work they've done to it.

surprised you haven't tried / used it considering your sig with synths listed. although it's 3+ years old it's a decent synth... but I'm wondering how different / better the new one will be.. the market now is far more competitive and it needs to bring something to the table other things don't that I own / use e.g. the NI synths / sylenth1
