One of the best interviews I saw with Zappa was the one he did worth state trooper Charles Ash in 1981. The whole thing used to be on YouTube, unfortunately it seems to have been taken down. I found it in parts on the Daily Motion but it doesn't seem to have part 1.

I do a lot of Film Reviews and include Music and DVD's in that process. I have that video and believe it or not, I'm hoping to find a player now, so I can watch it.
 
When you look at both film and music, side by side, you can see the experimental stuff and the regular stuff, and the most exciting things, are always the experimental stuff ... but it's really hard to show this to a "popular" board. It's really hard to display 40 years of foreign film, music and arts, to an audience that has no idea ... I wish there was a better set of words to explain it, but I can not find it, and even Sharke thinks i'm putting him and others down ... and I'm not, just because you or someone else, did not see all those Italian films, or German, or French, for example! And the same for music for me.
