Not to mention that if you are using automate track volume envelopes. the trim is your only way (I believe) of tweaking your overall track level. Changes you try and make with the track fader will be overridden by your automation choices. (note-I speak of track envelopes, this is not so with clip envelopes they do not affect the track fader)

Offset mode (key O) really is the best way to achive this! That being said I do use the trim for pre-insert level control.

+1 on Offset Mode.

You guys gave some great tips. THANKS A LOT!

Can someone explain the how I would use offset mode for this volume change?
I know how to create the quick groups (purple rectangle sign I'm pretty sure).

Double click in the little triangle that each track has in it's upper left corner (the one that turns blue when you click it). This will select all tracks. Press the 'O' key to enter offset fader mode (little plusses will appear next to the volume and pan controls). Drag one volume control down, say, 6 dB. All tracks' volume faders will then drop 6 dB simultaneously. Then 'slowly' double click (more like click two separate times) in a track's quick group triangle to ungroup. Press 'O' to exit offset mode.

Sven and everyone thanks a lot!

I just did the group and offset suggestion, and it worked great!
