boost 11

Is there a free vst similar to boost 11 that can be used with MC4?

I've never used boost11. but this is my favorite limiter and it's free:

Is this something you would suggest for the final mix? Would I add it to the master bus?

I'd have to agree with Beag - it's an incredible bit of kit and the price is right!

Here's another very nice free compression unit which has a switchable limiter:

Click on this link: ANTRESS MODERN 'CHANNEL'

The Analog setting works very nicely on it as well.

hey steve - I know you've had that one on your free vst thread and I've been meaning to try it - maybe I'll try it on my latest song.

Its quite subtle and unbelievably transparent Reece - I used it a lot in Guitar Tracks and then in HS6 before I started using the Sonitus stuff in S8 (which I do like a lot).

I also used it a fair bit in my (distorted) rhythm guitar bus with the Analog setting switched on - I only stopped using it there when I got my PSP Vintage Warmer to do the job, which obviously cost a fair bit more!

Beag, I installed your suggested master classis limiter and it does good things I like it. Nice boost without peaking the levels.
Steve, Thanks for your suggestion but there are too many knobs to play with where I probably would do more damage than good.
    Thanks guy's.

You can probably find a setting that will "Suck-the-life out of everything" ... is that the same thing?
