Some very clean lines there Zo.... nice. Do you get any imaging issues with the monitors set back from the monitor like they are in the pix? Unique PC box placement too! Great looking desk. Cheers.

for the monitorsd i spent 2 Dayz (full !!!) on !! Placement , measurement , placement ARC ik multimedia mseausrement , tests .... When i close to the desk , i use the genelecs , when i want real mixing mastering monitoring ...the spot is like the chair on the first pic .... When i move form desk to the spot , the imaging is preserved but the phase (specially on basses) is problematic ... Imaging suppa clean , of course 30° angle ect ....primacaoustic decoupler , and auarlex gramma for sub Form : Basotect ....excellent ....clean , super easy ti cut ....and no color alteration with UV and clean air certificate .... For the comp placement , very cool but as the room is super quite , noisy fan (even if i have fanless GPU , and quitest case !) Also still hating the vs 700 R noise .....i also put some autralex form in the desk on the rack containing the Vs700r ...better but still enoying !!

I'm actually working on a new design that will help streamline my workflow and can be used for both my mainstream projects as well as my cinematic projects without having to do a lot of moving around the room trying to do things. The biggest thing is trying to make a desk where I can have a slide out 88 key controller while being able to easily access the VS-700 controller and other racks I put in.

Sounds like oyu have it sorted Zo... great stuff. It is a constant journey getting your space and workflow optimized. Funny thing is, the temporary little Ikea desk I'm using has a slide out keyboard tray that 'just' accommodates the trackball height as well. Never found it to be so useful as with X1 due to a lot more keyboard usage than I ever did with 8.5. 8.5 was nearly all via the 700C with just titling etc really from the keyboard and now with X1, I can't get by without the keyboard.. screen sets, titling etc. There also is a bit more you can do with X1 (Pro Channel etc) so I think the 700C could use a bit more 'programmability' to help get the most out of it under X1. It needs to catch up basically IMO. Cheers. (Firefox 6 crowded message format complete. )

I use this: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MDVDL/ Some notes: 1-I have a wireless computer keyboard and mouse. I bought and installed a computer keyboard drawer under the desk and keep the mouse to the right of the console. I push the V-Studio console slightly under the shelf so I have a little elbow rest in front of the console. 2-I have a monitor extension arm that brings the monitor out over the console during tracking, and back when mixing. 3-Middle Atlantic stuff wobbles a tiny bit. I don't notice it anymore, but it was weird at first since Middle Atlantic stuff is not cheap. 4-The 700R interface sits on top of a rolling rack next to the desk. I've had the rack a long time and it holds my PC, a power amp, a JV-1080, a Kurzweil PC2R, a TC Helicon VoiceWorks Plus, a PreSonus Eureka, and--don't laugh--an old ART reverb that I keep for nostalgia.

Crg I made them Scott. They're made out of Art canvas, colored with screen printing ink, hand cut and sewn. Treated with Scotchguard on the top side. I made one for the V 700 C also. Hey Craig, Wow! You did a nice job putting those together. They look great. I'll have to think about doing something like that for some of my gear. Scott -- Scott R. Zo...Nice desk. I have the same Argosy model and I'm very happy with it. The padded arm rest has just enough room for the PC keyboard and the racks are just right for me. Your setup looks very nice. Hope it works out as well for you as it has for me.

Craig...Haven't been on the forum for awhile...been extremely busy. Looks like you've been busy updating the setup...looking really good. I like the covers you have come up with...wish I had that kind of talent (and patience). Looks to me like that could be a business idea. I need something like that for my stuff.

They're rather labor intensive to make. Of course it always is when you're doing it in the backyard without professional equipment. A good graphic artist could really make some nice ones personalized to your specs. I just have this aversion to the cheap plastic-one size fits all-elastic fantastic crap that's available. Someone with good screen printing setup and the proper sewing machines and such could probably pump enough of them out to make a $$ off them.

Some real nice set-ups you guys. I'd post a shot, but uhhh, I don't have a camera :( ------------- EDIT: I must have posted in this thread inadvertently after clicking crg's link from the newer "pics" thread in the X1 forum... BTW, no VS700 either... shucks.

I see 5 monitors on the right. Are they on the same computer or is it a different one synced to the audio pc?
