Isn't there a saying..... i think:
A man who cuts his own hair has a fool for a barber.

nah my barber is sound.. he realised ... this guy comes here.. and gives me little work.. and I have to charge him full whack..hehe

I did say to him I might start using clippers, as the cost of them vs haircuts.. well ya know.. its a bit much.. he's cheap, but I'm not in London a lot of the time.. and **** paying $20 for a haircut out here.

I use Kamuren Beklevic, Turkish Barber to the Gentry of St Nicholas Market, Corn Street, Bristol. (Where the nails live as in "Cash on the nail".) He charges 8 quid and I think at last I've trained him not to attempt to show me the back of my head in a mirror. I have trouble enough confronting the front in anything reflective!

Anyway, shouldn't this thread be in "Hardware"?

Not me, too dangerous. Things can happen behind your head.

Ah, this is great. I've learned how to get the back of the head without a mirror. Only notched one ear so far... ...use a razor in the shower to finish off. The only advice I'd offer is, go slow behind the ears!

clippers, yes. No barber bills. I saw a guy on FoxNews today who charges 950 dollars for a haircut in New York city. And he's supposedly still doing good business in this day and age.

So I ended up going to my barber.. and he sorted the back.. BUT also cut my hair very short (probably a number 2).. so I'm signing up for the army.. not really, I'm too old. I walked into work, and had a few comments.. e.g. I didn't realise you were going bald obviously they have worked with me for YEARS and didn't notice..lol.. still on the + side low maintenance..

if you believe the rumours, Jennifer Aniston just spent $90,000 on a haircut, the most I ever spent was $20 maybe. I'll stick to my clippers cos' I'm a cheap-*ss b*st*rd!!! I get my wife to pick up the little bits I miss.

i8ipop , theres LOADS of cases of it... it's being a diva..

I find it funny when singers/bands get hanger-on's .. I guess that's less the case now due to the majors not making so much money.

that wasn't a rumour.. she flew her around europe with her first class, I think thats where that comes in. It's more the perspective people have of money I guess. Even if I had millions in the bank I'd still like to think I'd spend the same way.

I've cut my husband's and 2 boys' hair for the last...good grief...28 years. (well, not my boys' so much since they got married--and theirs only since they had hair--they're not 28 yet!). I wish I could HAVE all that money they saved! LOL

But the question was about your own head of hair. I cut my own too. If it's 1/3 the way down your back it's a little easier, so that's something to consider.
