I don't use this often but try opening a controller lane and choose midi event. what your looking for here is "Wheel"

Well you already have enough points for a Yugo...but I'd suggest holding out for something better.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could change the draw-pitchwheel to show the grid in actual notes so you could directly draw a melody played with pitchwheel? That would make, say, editing/composing a MIDI-guitar solo with long bends a lot easier.

The number of vertical grid lines would depend on the pitch bend range set at the time.  Of course, each synth would have a different method of setting the current time.  Also, you might complicate matters by changing pitch bend range mid project

I have actually made a Studioware panel that adds the correct pitch bend value taking into account a set pitch bend range.

Say the pitch bend range is 5 semitones but I wish to raise the pitch by 2 semitones , but starting from 3 semitones lower. The studioware panel takes care of the maths and adds the right values to generation the correct shift.

that's a really good idea.
I believe there is a way to read the bend % in sonar but putting it in simple terms (as you mentioned notes) would be a nice feature.
